Shout-out to Sugitomo for her tip and encouragement: “Keep up the cute!” she says. You know I will, but just for a change of pace, have a look at this display of precision indoor skydiving from the Mad Ravens at the World Indoor Skydiving Championship.
WOW! Incredible! It almost looks like they’re moving in zero gravity.
Stunning! This should be in a sci-fi movie, but viewers wouldn’t believe it’s real. I love it. Amazing athleticism, beauty, choreography – and at the end when they just swoop right back out – so cool.
I don’t understand – how is this done!?????
I think they’re in a chamber with a large fan in the floor, blowing air up at such high speeds that people inside get pushed up. I’ve seen film of rigs like these being used to train skydivers.
That is gobsmacking amazing – I don’t understand how they aren’t just blown to the top and get stuck there – I wonder that they can exert any control over their positions. Very cool.
We have one of these indoor skydiving places near my home and you can go there for birthday parties and stuff. It’s just a big vertical wind tunnel, as Mike said,.
1st — Amazed by the untold numbers of hours of practice that this must have taken
2nd — Astonished that they only won Silver
Hehe, that struck me too – how many times did someone take an inadvertent sneaker to the face before they perfected it? And if that’s Silver, what is Gold? Go Mad Ravens!
Just wow. Wowie wow wow! Thank you Mr. Mike.
This is the last item on my first bucket list!
Me too! Just for the sensation of flying, though – I’m a bit long in the tooth for the athletic stuff…
I’m winded just watching it!!
There are no words . . .?
Mike .. Mike … When did you become ” (no)Chuteropolis ” ??
🙂
I wonder if this is what the ghosts of Hogwarts looked like when they did some formation gliding at a Halloween feast.
Beautiful work, Mad Ravens!
Looks like so much fun, but I would want a lot of padding on that glass
