Sheriff, Meet Woody (updated video)

This impertinent woodpecker persistently pokes a person from the Polish pet patrol, perhaps presuming he’s a pine or possibly a poplar, but in place of plopping him in the pokey, the policeman appears perfectly pleased.

That was pleasant and to the point, Faye.

    Perfectly portrayed pint-sized perpetrator, Mike.

Woodpecker: take that Copper! And that! And…
Am I funny to you? Funny how? Like a clown funny?

    That appears potentially painful.

Perplexingly, I was prevented from perusing this peculiar attempt to penetrate a policeman’s person both here and on Facebook. I’m peeved and pouting.

Alice, I replaced the video with the same video hosted on YouTube. Some readers have problems with Facebook video, so I apologize. Try viewing the post again.

OMG I am not even going to try with the alliteration! But just wondering…peckers are usually pretty good at sensing the presence of insect infestation…just sayin’…

That’s what I was thinking! :S Kinda reverse Morgellons on that woodpecker.

Maybe the nice Officer is wearing Pine scented cologne.

    • Dulcie October 16, 2016 / 4:49 pm

    • Kar October 17, 2016 / 3:44 am

      That was my thought.

He needs to stay away from those woodsy scents.

I would be perfectly pleased if a woodpecker perched on me. But I’m decidedly down because none have even perused my person.

That is really strange behaviour from a wild bird, maybe it was raised by humans who released him when it got old enough and that’s why its not afraid of people? Anyway it’s super cute!

Obviously, he was confused by the uniform. He thought this was the postman.

What are fence posts generally made of?

Darnit, Murray and I posted at the same time.

Duhhh on me. :D:D I was thinking dimly it was some pop-culture reference. Thank you folks! Tomorrow is a new day! πŸ˜€

        • JenDeyan October 17, 2016 / 8:11 am

          I didn’t get it either.

          • Murray C. October 17, 2016 / 8:18 am

It’s OK – I don’t get a lot of stuff either, especially the Pop culture references.

    • Murray C. October 16, 2016 / 9:49 pm

Would somebody explain to me why this is a big deal? Woodpeckers poke holes in Poles all the time!

      Hee hee πŸ™‚

I must occasionally say to pokey students, “I am not a tree and you are not a woodpecker!” This version looks more enjoyable.?

  12. sugitomo October 16, 2016 / 10:57 pm

    Drunk woodpecker?

  13. ffleur2 October 17, 2016 / 12:25 am

being a curious cat, I googled the badge on his right arm:
Straż miejska Łódź = City police Lodz
(Lodz is a city in Poland)

so the birdie was poking a hole in a Pole.

    • Murray C. October 17, 2016 / 7:10 am

      Yay- nice post.?

At least the policeman doesn’t have a Kakapo trying to mate with him.

    (for reference)

    • Faye October 17, 2016 / 12:19 pm

Not that there’s anything wrong with that.

    • AB October 17, 2016 / 1:00 pm

Well, that camera guy now knows who his real friend is (the woman who rescued him from the ravages of the kakapo instead of laughing at him).

Funniest video I’ve seen in a long time, btw!

      • Murray C. October 17, 2016 / 2:51 pm

Wonderfully hilarious – I love Stephen Fry.
