And finally: Doggy Heaven
Faye sends in a video from Territorio de Zaguates in Costa Rica, a dog sanctuary like no other. “This is heaven and I’m doing my best to eventually get there,” she writes.
Is that the same sanctuary that I also sent in a video from, Faye? With hundreds of happy dogs, no collars, no leashes, no fighting, going on happy walks with happy humans in gorgeous countryside? Man, that place is so on my bucket list!
I think it is the same place, and here’s the post with the video you sent, for those who missed it: https://cutetropolis.com/2016/08/24/who-let-the-dogs-out/
Super cute, but am I the only one wondering about “land mines?”
It’s the same! Dog Heaven.
Pangolins galore!
#11 has kilt me ded.
and #15 has revived me giggling.
I was going to move to a place with monkeys, iguanas, and sloths but scrap that, I’m moving to pangolin land.
The pangolins are almost painfully cute.
Oh, the elk of Estes Park! I was there about a month ago, unfortunately on Elk Festival day, but the elk were nowhere to be seen. True story: employers accept “there were elk in the way” as a valid excuse for arriving late to work.
Around here I suspect that “There were sandhill cranes in the way” is an equally valid excuse!
Around here, it would be “There were Canada Geese in the way.”
Those cats all look very, um, healthy. I bet they all gave good job security with what’s being sold in those stores. And don’t they look like they know it!
I’ll take a pangolin too please. Their ears are what I’m finding most fascinating! (Of all things with those creatures to be fascinated by…)
Don’t worry, Tara. I share your fascination with pangolin ears.
Pangolin Ears – my new garage band…
Watching the elk video I’m reminded of a husband trailing behind his wife and her friends in the mall while they shop. ?
That’s exactly what I was thinking. ?
This elk is more like a really horny husband.
Elk mating season in Estes Park is hilarious. Sometimes the females are just *so* not into a guy. Is it wrong that I laugh so hard at their efforts to shut a male down?
Maverick the dog’s story made me choke up at work. Such a beloved goggie deserves to know how much the world loves him (and he does).
When he crosses the Bridge he’s going to tell the other dogs, “They loved me. They really loved me. All of them really really loved me.”
*sniff*
Er… The fourth picture after the cat story made me think twice about shopping there…
Thank you for ‘Shop Cats,’ what great photos; it was nice to escape to another land for a brief time. And, yes, of course I immediately went to ‘Bring out your dead!’ re doggy wagon hover text. *happy sigh no bs*
