How come I never had a kitty sit with me when I took the train to NYC all those times for work? No fair. (Judging from the sign out the window, I’m guessing this is Japan…)
I got to sit beside a commuter pug on my train home from work one night this week! Her name was Babs. She was young, and snuffly, and curious, with big googly eyes and a ready tongue. I was smitten.
I’ll say it again…No Fair!!!
I love the idea of commuter pets. People would be a lot happier* on mass transit if they could snorgle a critter.
*unless they’re allergic
Some places have quiet cars on their trains. Why not a critter car?
Exactly.
I used to take the subway to work and there was this black lab guide dog I loved to watch work. He would gently but firmly push through the crowd to get his person into the wagon and walk strait to the reserved handicap seat. And if someone was already sitting in it, the dog would stand right in front of them and look at them strait in the face and wait for them to get up. Worked every times ?
What a good dog! I love that he would just stare and make the person nudgey!
My friend Jason ran into this little guy on his way home from work yesterday. 😀 Too big, I send photo to Mike to see if he can insert it.
Here is that picture:
D’awww! I like how he has one ankle sock and one thigh-high. 😛
Redonk!! Cute overload indeed.
Don’t forget Station Master Tama (R.I.P.) & Tama ][

Awwwwwwwww.
I bring Chico and Poncho with me to work everyday. The other day, one of the employees referred to Chico and Poncho as “his co-workers”!! Hilarious!
How terrific that you can bring them and have such a positive reaction from coworkers. I’m not sure EVerybody would be on board! (there’s always one – I hope that’s not the case where you work)
If someone told me they were afraid of dogs, I might not hire them, since I bring my dogs to work everyday and I don’t think it would be enjoyable for any of the parties involved.
However, I once hired a girl who said she was fine with dogs but then once she was hired, it was clear that she lied. But over the course of several months, she became quite fond of them and when she moved, she told me she was going to miss the dogs the most!
I’ve always believed that interaction breeds tolerance – dogs and humans alike! ?
AMEN!
