That is the BEST. (But it’s also a rubber chicken, not a squeaky duck.)

When I sent in the link, I titled it “Horse Geeks out with Rubber Chicken” which I thought was absurdly funny, since geeks originally bit the heads off live chickens.

        Nice! 😀

Never one to argue with consensus, I changed the “duck” to “chicken” yesterday. 🙂

Better than a vuvuzela! He should go to the inauguration protests next week…

    • dubravkamcvmd January 10, 2017 / 11:21 am

      I love that idea!

      • N. Fritz January 10, 2017 / 2:35 pm

        seconded!

No, he should go to the inauguration next week. I could tell him when to start up.

Oh my gosh , I’m dead from laughing so much. That horse looks silly but obviously loves playing with that squeak toy that way.

I got your horse right here. His name is Paul Revere, and a guy that says if the weather’s clear …

    • N. Fritz January 10, 2017 / 2:30 pm

can do… can do… this guy says the horse can do. If he says the horse can do, can do, can do!

Fugue for Tinhorns is up there on my list of Greatest Songs Ever Written.

I’m pickin’ Epitaph, he wins it by a half …

Thank you for pointing out that it’s a chicken, Ricky’s Mom. We ducks were feeling quite indignant over the thought of a rubber duck being treated in such a rude fashion, but a chicken is a completely different thing.
I laughed until I cried at the gleeful horse playing with its toy. My neighbour upstairs has horses, and when she gets home, I must show her this.

    • allein ? January 10, 2017 / 12:09 pm

      Rubber chicken, you’re the one… ???

      • Duckie ? January 10, 2017 / 1:15 pm

        Somehow that just doesn’t work…
Besides, rubber duckies lather up MUCH better, and wet ducks don’t smell as bad as wet chickens…

Duckie, I live to serve. 🙂

Did anyone else start nodding their heads while watching or was that just me!?

    • allein ? January 10, 2017 / 12:31 pm

I was too busy trying not to giggle out loud.

  7. Emsthemonster January 10, 2017 / 12:56 pm

I thought I had a hard day at work and then I saw this chicken. So much headbanging!

  8. DebG January 10, 2017 / 1:06 pm

    That was fantastic! Gorgeous horsie!

    I. Can’t. Stop. Watching.

I’m sending this to my sister (chickens – especially rubber chickens – are a “thing” with us), with the warning “May want to go somewhere without people before you watch this.”. I’m afraid her squealing may frighten people.

    Unbridled joy.

    • N. Fritz January 10, 2017 / 2:34 pm

Over at the old ranch, there were sometimes contests for best comment/caption. I would upvote “Unbridled Joy” if given the chance, Allein!

      • allein ? January 10, 2017 / 2:40 pm

        Aww, thanks! 🙂

I wish we could upvote or thumbs up or star comments!

          Mike?

To be sure, Alein would get “all the stars”, as we say over at Jezebel.

      • allein ? January 10, 2017 / 9:02 pm

        ?

I had chicken for dinner, too.

  11. Faye January 10, 2017 / 2:15 pm

I love this. I almost died laughing. I’m thrilled when whatever animal gets their own idea of what’s fun and the result is self directed.

  12. Smartypants January 10, 2017 / 5:16 pm

Going to see if I can make my first photo attachment here…

…It worked! Another use for a squeaky chicken…

    • allein ? January 10, 2017 / 5:19 pm

      hehe

I passed two cars parked on the street on my way to work this morning and they couldn’t have been 2 inches from each other. Maybe they need one of these. (Though they were in front of a house so I’m assuming they both belonged to the people who live there.)

      (snortlaff)
