Oh, the weather outside is frightful, but these animals find it delightful. Recent snows in Oregon closed the Oregon Zoo to the public, but transformed it into a winter wonderland for polar bears, otters, and… an elephant?!

I saw this yesterday! Love the seal tapping his buddy…look look look! It snowed!!
That elephant better not catch cold, there wouldn’t be enough tissue in the whole state to Oregon to take care of those sneeze!
?
I love seeing any kind of animal at play!
awww… the polar bears are so totally in their element!
The elephant playing in the snow is WONDERFUL!!
He is channeling his mastodon forebears, methinks.
It’s so wonderful to see them all so happy!
Some days, I just want to be a polar bear. Or an otter. Or a seal. Or a lollyphant. Their happiness was palpable.
Sorry, but I chose not to watch the video.
I have been wishing for meltingness for weeks now, and, as much as I love watching animals in snow, I opted out. But the big grin on the effalunt’s face makes me think I will watch it once things warm up around here.
It’s wonderful – I think you’ll really enjoy it when you’re ready to watch.
It doesn’t surprise me that the arctic animals enjoy snow, but the elephant – wheeeee!
Ok, I watched it. And yes, in spite of the c-c-cold, it was funny.
For me, the best part was the otter with snow on his whiskers. He looked as if it was a huge joke.
Yes, I loved the otter. And the seal patting his pal.
I love how the elephant was at first: “What. The. Eff. is this?” and later: “WOOOHOOO!!”
I hope that Heffalump is otherwise kept warm. I don’t think snow is a natural state for a Heffalump. They took away our elephants from our zoo in Toronto because of Canadian winters. Maybe if we got him a parka and a toque. The one in the video looked very happy, though – I’m not nuffing, just a worry wort.
Definitely an Indian elephant, which may be used to more varied weather than African. The small earses!
Over the Alps!
Yes, I thought about sojourns over the Alps, too – had to have been cold.
I love the seal smacking the other that came out of the water to close to him.
That polar bear is experiencing utter bliss! Love it!
