In the third installment of the TRON saga, an insidious and dangerous new program named DOX escapes from the game grid and unleashes chaos by dumping everybody’s personal information all over the Internet.
End of line, Sharon H. (PS: Doxing is a repulsive act withΒ real victims, and I don’t wish for my silly little play on words to trivialize it. Apologies in advance.)
I’m simply can’t upvote this photo enough. What a cutie pie in his little raincoat!!!!! I loves heem soooooooooo moiche!!!!!
I got the TRON the doggy’s coat reference right away but I had to look up dox and doxing because I had no idea what it was. Yes I am that old ??
It went right over my head too. Mike, this is brilliant! And what a little cutie!
It’s still over my head – HELP!
LOVE the doxie in his raingear.
dox / doxing
to search for and publish private or identifying information about (a particular individual) on the Internet, typically with malicious intent.
“hackers and online vigilantes routinely dox both public and private figures”
Thank you – I guess it’s a shortening of “document”? I don’t know what Tron is either – like I say, the whole thing was beyond me. ?
“Tron” is a Disney movie franchise about characters who live in cyberspace – the characters wear costumes and drive motorcycles with glowing outlines which look like the dog’s raincoat (that’s not a great explanation – if you do an image search for ‘Tron’ it’ll probably give you a better idea).
The recent movie TRON:Legacy had very sleek costume design that involved mostly skintight black suits with glowing trim, which is what this raincoat immediately reminded me of. Here are the leads from that film to give you an idea.
Thank you – I sometimes forget I can just google. (I blush) And thank you, Mike for the clear elucidation! In more ways than one.
I will keep him at my house. My internet is so cranky he won’t be able to do much. All in the interest of online security, of course. You’re welcome.
Case in point: I posted this comment, went immediately to my email, clicked the button to confirm the comment subscription thingy, and got “there is no internet access.”
I love this raincoat!!
I also love sausage dogs!!
Are you familiar with Crusoe the Celebrity Dachshund? He’s adorable!

You should take the casing off that sausage before you eat it right up!
He needs an extension on the hood for schnozzle protection.
Ps. Doggo would already be covered in snow here on Long Island, NY.
Yeah, here, too. I am not looking forward to the shoveling out later. On the up side, work is closed and I am in my PJs watching episodes of Comedy Central’s @Midnight on OnDemand.
I guess I shouldn’t mention that we may see 70 degrees in Colorado today?
Love this darling doxie in his raincoat!
It was 65 yesterday.
We’ll have to put the AC on today. It’s going to be at least 80!!! Hopefully we’ve had all the ‘winter’ we’re going to get this year. Down to the upper 30’s was cold enough. We’ll take any rain though.
That little pup would be lost here in Central NY, about a foot of snow expected, my sheepies are locked up in the barn with hay, although it might be fun to see big woolly snowballs walking around π
Oooooh, sheep! Very cool. Are you a weaver?
Sadly no, although i should be as i come from a crofting background! I’ll try and get a pic of the woolly snowballs in this 12+ inch of snow we have!
I’m a spinner. Hint hint.
We are still working on getting the shearing down, i don’t think we can do anything with their fleeces, poor things end up with Mohawks and other “wool styles’ π
Yes! Photos, please. π
I second that vote. Sheepsies are some of my most favorite animals.
I almost typed angels instead of animals and that might not have been entirely wrong. π
My photo is too large to post, sorry π
Yes, snow day here too (western MA) – I haven’t been out, but it looks like loose blowing powder, not too deep.
Just noodling around the house today – finishing crafts, folding laundry, prepping noms, watching TV. Yesterday I accidentally whapped myself in the nose with a clipboard and I have a melodramatic-looking bruise, so it’s a good day to stay home, LOL!
I have a huge cat scratch on my nose atm π
You can get money out of your NOSE?????
I wish π I am also quite scared when people want to punch their card in and expect me to tell how much money they have π
ROFLMAOing here!
It’s that new wearable tech π
Me, too, Julie, and Faye, you’re so right – a nice little peak on the hood would do the trick., keep that squee-inducting schnozzola nice and dry.
Or I could just kiss away any raindrops that happen to land there.
Maybe some ski goggles, too, to keep away the driving snow falling here right now?
Tron is one of favorite movies from childhood. Doxxies are just awesome and so is this post! Another quality postage by Mike. This one should definitely go in the next calendar, if possible.
Maybe they could do that page in black-light ink so it’d actually glow? (I know, probably not feasible, but it’d be fun).
It might be cool to have hovertexts hidden behind little windows that you’d open, like an advent calendar; or scratch-off, like a Lotto ticket. Or as a hologram image, where you tilt it to see the text (again, just musing – it probably wouldn’t be cost-effective unless you did thousands & thousands of calendars. Well, someday!)
