It’s National Pancake Day!

It’s never too early — or too late — for flapjacks when it’s National Pancake Day! Some International House of Pancake locations are giving free pancakes today, but I’ll be at my local IHOP (Inert Hamsters On Platform) for flopjacks with a side of ham.

Could someone please flip us? We’re done on this side.

      I’m sensing a theme in today’s posts…

NTMTOM must be very hungry today, thus the common theme, now I’m geting hungry.

I have seen this pic, like, a dozen times and never noticed that little morsel.

He’s the ‘test’ pancake – the first one that always comes out a little crooked 😀

    D-HECK!?!?!?!?!

How did these hamsters get to be so relaxed?!?!?!

They look like Roborovski hamsters. Mine never got flat. They were always round like cotton balls 🙂

Apparently, it’s not difficult to do.

I love the English translation subtitles, “ride a hamster on the hand”, “continue petting it assiduously”. I wonder if my French translations were that bad back when I was studying it in college.

If petting a hamster assiduously would make me get thin, no one would be a more assiduous hamster-petter than I.

          ??????????to the 10th.

This whole post is so hilarious, the instruction video to the “test” pancake – you guys are all on a roll.

Is it a cinnamon roll, perchance? Cuz I could go for a cinnamon roll.

            • Ricky's Mom March 7, 2017 / 5:59 pm

Mmm, cinnamon rolls. Hey, what about a CinnaBun?

              • allein ? March 7, 2017 / 6:42 pm

                Yum!

Okay these are cookies, but how freakin’ cute are they?!

                • Smartypants March 7, 2017 / 7:52 pm

Super cute! We had a Cookie Press when I was a kid, but they didn’t have that bunny template yet (I also have the same plate, but solid pattern, not dashed – love it).

                  • allein ? March 7, 2017 / 8:03 pm

Yeah, our cookie press just had flowers and Christmas trees and stuff. No bunnies. 🙁

I loved that thing. My favorite part of the holiday preparations. Even though I had to stuff half my cookies back into the tube and try again, because I held the button too long or not long enough or the dough got stuck to the template and got pulled apart when I lifted it up or whatever.

                  Outstanding as always, Allein!

How did I miss this post! I want a bunny plate for my cookie press!

  7. Alice Shortcake March 7, 2017 / 4:42 pm

I want to roll them gently (and assiduously) between my palms until they resume their three-dimensional shape!

  8. sugitomo March 8, 2017 / 9:40 pm

Hmm, normally I don’t like fur in my pancakes, but I might make an exception for these.

    • Murray C. March 9, 2017 / 9:23 am

Sugitomo, have you often been in the situation where you’ve been offered pancakes with or without????????
