Before we get to the video, a shout-out to Patricia for a generous tip, thank you so much! And now, an adorable highlight of the agility competition at Crufts, the famous UK dog show, was this Jack Russell terrier who sprinted the course at amazing speed, although his mind tended to wander, followed by the rest of him.
Thanks to Elizabeth W. and Faye for spotting this.
I don’t know where I’m going, but I’m enjoying the scenery and making good time!
That was quite a bit of happiness contained all around in that video!
Face plant, don’t care! LOL, I haven’t seen such unbridled joy with an equal disregard for bodily injury… for a long time
Pup: I’M GOING!!!!!
Owner: Where are you going?
Pup: ZOOM!!!
The high point for me was the slow-motion dive over the top of the ramp. I really wanted him to just keep flying into the air, as if gravity itself didn’t matter to him.
Yes, I loved that one, too – there is no question about his agility, that’s for certain.
SLO-MO was awesome!!
Yes! He flew over that thing!! Love the slo-mo shot from behind.
Yes – the little legs!
I’m pretty sure gravity *doesn’t* matter to him! Go Olly! What a cutie!
Zooooom zooom boink wheeeee!
I love when he goes careening right out of the venue, with the handler running behind…and waving goodbye to the audience! 😀
I just sent this to Mike, not realizing it was already posted!
Anyway, this is what pure joy and living for the moment look like…what a cutie! Also love the commentator!
Wasn’t that great – his enjoyment added even more joy to the occasion.
Some of you need anatomy lessons. ?
If you’re happy and you know it, zip around!
Time to switch to Decaff !
I used to run agility with my aussie and it is so great to see a dog enjoying himself. Pearl was so stressed by it all that she didn’t have much fun so we quit. Most of the stress probably came from me, so you have to give that handler a ton of credit for not killing the dogs spirit.
Yes, I loved how she just went with the flow and let the pupster enjoy himself. Who knows, with more training he may be a “Champeen” someday – he surely has the heart of one.
I think this is just the default operating mode of a JRT.
