Fiona the preemie hippo is now approaching unearthly levels of cuteness as she enjoys a bit of hose play, an interest she seems to share with Bibi and Henry, her mother and father. According to the Cincinnati Zoo, Fiona still can’t regulate her body temperature, so the hose water must be a lukewarm temperature that won’t chill her.
“She gets cuter every day if thatโs possible,” says Fiona watcher Lois M.
Unearthly levels of cuteness covers it. I never thought I’d ever feel so vested in a hippopotamus (although I’ve always like them), but Fiona is a the world’s greatest ambassador for her species.
I’ll be honest, I wasn’t in a hurry to watch the first couple Fiona videos that were posted here (I usually have to wait a bit to watch videos if they’re posted when I’m at work) but I’m getting more and more sucked into the cute.
Her gaping maw is so adorable.
Ah – so much cuteness this early in the morning! sigh. My day will be a good one.
I guess little kids opening their mouths to catch rain or snow is a cross-species sort of thing…
LOL, that was my first thought too – ‘so ALL kids like to play in sprinklers!’
But does it make them all happy enough to incubate them?
Her cutest video so far! I can’t take much more of this! (Also can’t wait to get my Team Fiona sweatshirt later this month.)
Some “little pink tongue” action here and there, too.
Oh, I saw the shirts on the Cincy Zoo’s website – very cute!
I ordered the t-shirt. And I heard from them a few days ago, thanking me for ordering it and assuring me it would be on its way shortly. Yay for Team Fiona!
Poor Fiona .. Those won’t Hippoparazzi leave her alone .. *hehe*
