Big Bunny Darius Might Have an Even Bigger Boy
Darius is the largest rabbit in the world, but he may hand over that title to… his own son? When this story was reported in 2015, Darius, a member of the Continental Giant breed, was 4ft 4in, and his offspring Jeff was 3ft 8in — and still growing, so perhaps he’s outgrown his famous dad by now.
Hmmm, don’t bunnies box?
I’ve seen a video of jack rabbits having quite a spirited punch-up. It looks like boxing mixed with a slap fight.
That’s what I thought. They are famous for disapproving, are they not? I would be very cautious around a very large rabbit.
The big ones tend to be pretty laid back. I’m sure there are exceptions, as is always the case, but from what I’ve seen, at least of Flemish Giants, they’re very cool.
I’ve always wondered what it would be like to have a Flemish Giant, but apparently they rarely turn up as rescues, so I never had the chance.
And, yes–the feets!!
Our rescue had two, so it’s possible! That’s how I got to interact with one. She was so much fun.

Giant. Bunny. Feets.
Aren’t those feet terrific? The biggest giant bun I’ve ever held was only about 12 pounds, tho’ I think she was still growing. They are a glorious armful.
I’d love to be around those giant bunnehs. I can’t fathom bunnehs being that big. My Pepper is probably about the size of their heads. Since, according to the Cutetropolis calendar, it’s “make up your own holiday, ” day, for me, it’s ” Do Something Extra for your Pet” day, ( beyond the usual spoiling).
It’s like the giant chicken, but with long ears.
Do you remember Atlas from Scotland? That bun is a beautiful giant, I wish we knew if he/she became even bigger or that was already his/her adult size.
I think those buns might just be bigger than me! And I’m not exaggerating by much; I’m very very short, though I suspect I outweigh them.
Such lovely creatures. 🙂
Darius definitely is longer than you are when stretched out, and probably Jeff will be soon, too. Fortunately, your feet aren’t as big; if they were, I wouldn’t be knitting you socks, I promise. 🙂
