No, don’t mind me. I’m comfortable, and it’s a pleasure just to be out on such a lovely day. No need to talk, it’s just nice to be with you and remember the fourteen hours I spent in labor just so we could be together. You go ahead and type your little jokes on your computer. I’ll be fine.
Moms: You gotta love ’em, Andrew Y. (via Imgur)
Oh my goodness, I could hear my own mother’s voice coming through loud and clear!!!!!
Oh yes that was my mom, she could have given guilt courses to Jewish mothers.
She’s been gone for over 30 years but I still miss her every day.
Laugh out loud funny! I had to drag a co-worker in to make her laugh as well. But is it bad that it took me a few minutes to find mama?? I was looking around expecting a human for some reason (yes, yes, I know this is a cute animal website but in my defense, no coffee yet), then narrowed in on the computer and looked right. Still took a few minutes for my sleepy brain to comprehend, ah here’s mama!! She’s all dressed up like a proper bubbe (yiddish for grandma). And that face says it all. Oh man, every time I look at the picture, I get the giggles. Thanks Mike, for brightening up my Friday!
Perfect!
Note that some other patrons also have blankies. Definitely my kind of place. I wonder where it is…
jinx
There’s a sign outside that reads “Patee Thai” so I searched for that and found a restaurant with that name operating two locations in Australia. Its logo is very similar to the sign in the picture. Now I’m trying to find photos of the dining area that match the picture.

Found it! Click here to see the restaurant on Google Street View: https://goo.gl/maps/tGGkvPwKFGD2
In the picture, there is a blue neon sign with crossed kitchen utensils. In Street View, if you look across the street, you’ll see that same sign.
Wow, Mike, you really go above and beyond.
And to Tina M. – I think you are correct about a second pup.
I actually think it is the patio for Tusk next door…
You might be right. I found the Yelp page for a Tusk restaurant in Windsor, Victoria, Australia and a couple reviews mention that they have blankets on the patio chairs, and at least one also mentions being dog-friendly as well.

Liz, it must be somewhere in northern Europe. I got this experience myself in Copenhagen Not a cute dog there thought. :
Yes , they give you blankies beause is cold outside.
Does that joint give out blankies for customers? There seem to be several blankie wearers in that pic.
Is there another doggie sitting on the floor? I see some golden floof next to the wooden bench.
My Jewish Mother: put on a sweater, I’m cold.
Looks like person on computer has a blanket on too. Lol. Morning brunch come in your pjs and blanket! And bring the dog and doggie blankie. Sign me up!!
Anyplace that lets in critters is my kind of place.
And, ohboy, yes, “I don’t want to be a burden” rings so true. So, what have you done to ensure that you won’t be????? Oh, well, water under the bridge. My mom lived with us for over 11 years and while it was less than perfect it worked out for the best. We had some very good days – and a few where murder was definitely in the forefront of my thoughts!
This reminds me of when Garrison Keillor used to play the character of Duane on “Prairie Home Companion”. In the skit, he would be talking to his mother on the phone and she would be laying a huge guilt trip on him. Always made me laugh and so does this post! 😀
