“It never fails — I get into the stream for a nice long bath, and that’s when the phone rings! Oh, and I seem to be stuck. Can I get a little help over here?”

Looks like the older elephant used her head, Arne.
That is spectacular. Animals have so much going on that they don’t get credit for. This is so sweet. Poor little babe was getting so frustrated and big sister knew just want to do.
Awww poor heffalump. Sometimes being little with short legs is no fun. For some reason all I could hear in my brain is a kid going “MOOOOOOOOMMMMMMM!!!! I’m stuck, come get me out!”
There’s a joke about using the trunk line in there somewhere.
It’s so touching.
Poor baby! She was so close more than once. Adorable finish.
She’ll be able to do it when she’s older, though, and then it’ll feel like a triumph.
I did hear the phone ringing and I bet he told his big sis after she gave him a lift up her name was Georgina Woodenenclosure.
And btw, I so needed this video after the crap day I had.
Wait, that doesn’t make sense, it is a boy phoning and *she* tells her big sis it was George Glass phoning. See? crap day.
Transcript of the last minute or so of video:
1:40- Baby elephant: Oh, sis. So glad you’re here. I’m stuck. I mean, I’m really stuck. I just can’t get out!
1:57 – Older sister elephant: Yes, I can see that. Have some dignity, okay? I’ll help you with this. No biggie.
2:04 – Baby elephant: I feel so stupid!I mean I really can’t get out!
2:18 – Older sister elephant: No worries, bro. Happens to the best of us.
2:22 – Older sister elephant: Coming in. Scoot over.
2:30 – Baby elephant: So embarrassing!
2:35 – Older sister elephant: [gives baby good hard shove]
2:35 – Baby elephant [over shoulder]: Hey, thanks. This will never happen again, Sis, I promise. Wait! Do I smell hay! I’m starving! Hey, Lexie! Hi! Is that hay?!
2:39 – Older sister elephant: Oh, Millennials!

One of my all time favorite poems, Duckie! I had the Childcraft set of books and this was included in the Poems and Rhymes volume.
Oh, that’s perfect, Duckie! I’d forgotten about that poem.?
I hope that sister wasn’t chuckling for 5 minutes off camera before she went over to help!
I just love elephants!?
I was half-expecting the big one to get stuck too after rescuing the small one 🙂 🙂
Elephants have the most amazing social/familial relationships. You just knew one of the other heffalumps was going to rescue that sweet baby.
