My mother had a nightmare once about her car going into a ravine and drowning. Turns out the 25 lb cat was sleeping on her chest! We finally got him down to a svelte 17 lbs when the vet said to stop.

Ah, thank you – I think?! Consider me educated. I have to admit that, with some trepidation, I looked the word up but included “otter” which got me to the same kind of fluffer as the Cutetropolis version – thank heaven! (what’s SFW???)

I spent about 20 minutes looking at several otter videos – including a new pup, rialto. I had to pull myself away – and, DEBG, maybe we could share the the work of toweling a baby otter? Or I could feed her and you could towel her, then we’d switch shifts?

Love, love, love the Hank & Fuzzy Purple Hippo story. (Also love that her full name is, apparently, “Fuzzy Purple Hippo.”) I can’t even see the pictures at work but I read the text, and they have some super funny and creative folks over there.
“Hank and his purple hippo are a bonded pair, so if you aren’t ready for a 4 year-old chocolate Lab to come home when you adopt your fuzzy hippopotamus…well, sorry, we can’t approve your application.”

Glad Fuzzy Purple Hippo survived her ordeal, and that Hank has been cleared of all wrongdoing and allowed to go home.

I don’t think that baby otter understands yet that as an otter, he’s going to be spending a lot of time in the water. Love how they place him back first in that teeny wave pool.
I also don’t understand how those trainers can resist cuddling him.

At one point during real otter mom swimming lessons, mom basically repeatedly dunks baby until he figures out he can go underwater. The sounds are the best part.
