Upstairs Downstairs

Um, excuse me, but I distinctly paid extra for the exclusive penthouse suite. You ruffians must return to your quarters at once.

Racoons are so pushy, Cheryl S.

Uh-oh! The point at which the video was cut off makes me worried for kitteh. That raccoon was BIG

I hope all the teeth baring between them is just ritual, and not real.
I could use a hug from a big fluffy animal right now. Is everyone safe? I’m almost too scared to check the news in the morning these days.
Grampa is still in the hospital, and X-rays yesterday show he has pneumonia. For the third time. I don’t think he will be coming out again. The grandchildren from farther away are starting to trickle in, and he is so happy about that. I’m trying to not be resentful that they didn’t come to see him when he was well and at home.
Yesterday I was on crutches and in a wheelchair. An unwise shove of our A/C unit sent my spine to visit my left shoulder blade, and I was nearly paralyzed with pain in my right hip. The chiropractor managed to send the spine home, but now I have this new fear haunting me. Could I accidentally paralyze myself with one thoughtless move? It’s enough to make me stay in my comfy chair all day, and that would be the worst thing to do.
Everyone on this site is a source of joy and support for me. My thoughts and prayers are with you all, especially those coping with the forces of nature.

Duckie don’t stop moving. I made that mistake last year. Untreated bursitis and slow resolving orthopedic problems limited my activity.

Move but move carefully and thoughtfully. I have to start with the most gentle exercises and soon PT to even begin getting back in shape.

Ditto – good advice, Faye. Moving is the most important thing you can do despite the pain. Slow and steady wins this race!

Feel better soon, Duckie – sending healing vibes your way.

Thinking of you, Duckie, and thinking of everyone who may lie in the path of that mega-bitch, Irma. Please take care of yourselves and your pets! Please don’t endanger the lives of rescue workers, first responders and volunteers by trying to ride it out if you can, and should, evacuate!

Duckie, my small(ish) fluffy cats send hugs your way. We’re also crossing our paws for those dealing with natural disasters.
