Blorp Love a Duck

Visitors at Blijdorp Zoo, The Netherlands witnessed an amazing animal rescue. A poor duckling had fallen into a pool and was frantically flapping to get out. As mama duck watched helplessly from the sidelines, a pair of helpful hippos took an interest and helped their guest get the duck outta there.

Are those juvenile hippos? So sweet.

Poor duckling, those guys probably had teeth the size of that duckling. So glad that they helped this little one.

      Or maybe pygmy hippos?

I’m amazed at their dexterity – it’s like picking up a marshmallow with a forklift!

Blorp Boost. The Blorps were sweet. They could have accidentally snorfed duckie up a nostril!

That would have resulted in quite a sneeze.

I love how quickly the little quacker ran back to mom once he was free.

Like Dennis Creevey falling into the lake at Hogwarts and getting lifted out by the giant squid.

Iโ€™ve said it before and Iโ€™ll say it again: most animals are better human beings than most humans could ever hope to be. Needed to see some kindness today. Iโ€™ve felt a lot like that duckling these past few months. Only the hippos donโ€™t seem to care. ๐Ÿ™

Even when knowing that the video was going to have a good outcome, it still made me nervous!!!!

When I started reading the post, I thought Blijdorp was one of Mike’s made-up words.
