Oh yes, we haven’t had a ‘Dear Spambot’ post in a while – that would be great!

The other line that killed me was “On Thursday, an enchanted squirrel was discovered in the premises of the university.” LOL!!!!! Love it and yes, this little guy looks like an enchanted squirrel.

Another update: on their Facebook page, it says

This lovely creature surprised us today with a visit! It is a Siberian flying squirrel (Pteromys volans) and it was found near the elevator on 6th floor. Maybe it was too tired of flying?

This Green Campus visit ended happily when our staff members helped it back to the nature.

Here’s what I got when I tried your link:
The real surprise at the university – the clown squirrel flew to the sixth floor
The workers at Lappeenranta University of Technology were expecting a real surprise when a goblet with a nap-eye collared in front of the elevator door.

Google translate is always good for a laugh!

Yes, Google Translate is good for a laugh, until students start using it to do their homework! Then you’ll see their English teacher cry!

He looks like he needs a hug.

i would be happy to assist. I find the cuteness quotient so over the top that I’m a little suspicious. Could that really be real?

  3. AB November 9, 2017 / 12:23 pm

Whew! So glad the little nap-eyed goblet is free! He looks so sad and scared by all that metal.

Also, I like to imagine that “goblet” means “baby goblin”.

The big eyes make me suspect he was made in Japan…

(This was supposed to be a reply to DUBRAVKAMCVMD. I don’t know why I’m suddenly having issues with this site again; had to clear my cookies to even get it to load.)

The squirrel is adorable, and the Google translation makes it even more adorable! I laughed and laughed, although not at the squirrel — I squeed loudly for that, of course. Flying squirrels are so cute! I wish someone had taken a photo of it leaving, whether it was running away or flying!
