Watch these depth-defying divers submerge their selfie sticks and meet up with some curious seals, who love scritchies and belly rubs as much as any land dog.
Shouts-out to R. E. and A. H. for hitting the tip jar! Thanks!

But can they bring you your slippers?
No, but they can bring you your flippers!
Hee hee hee! Nice! 😀 😀 😀
I aims to please!
Have you recovered from your tumble down the stairs Aliceshortcake? Everybody seems to be encountering the effects of gravity in an ouch! sort of way these days.
Yes, thanks – although last week I had another tumble on a patch of black ice near my house!
So cute!
I’ve had the chance to interact thru the glass w/the harbor seals at the New England Aquarium – they will imitate your moves (turn around, raise your hand, etc.) – which is cool, but they will also perform moves and then hover and wait for you to copy them – and they’re so happy when you do it!
I’m an expert belly scritcher, where do I sign up to swim with the sea puppies?
This video needed to be a LOT longer.
Seconded.
Where do we send the petition?!
OK, now I want to give scritches to a sea lion!
So excited, I received my calendar today. I have to admit, I peeked at January but will save the rest of the months…will power!
Aren’t sea lions the ones with external ear flaps? And seals are no ear flaps? Or have I got them switched in my head?
With that headline, I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to post this:
Yes, these cuties are seals, not sea lions, and i would love to scratch both kinds!
This little guy wuvs humans! https://youtu.be/SlQbh8sG1T8
If you throw the selfie stick, will they fetch it?
Is it terrible of me to worry about their desensitization to humans? We are all well to aware that not all humans are kind to animals.
