There are so many pics of kittens in boots or shoes — there must be a powerful attraction. Or else the kittens just need rebooting!

    Yes, cats and smells…
    I came back from running a few days ago and I didn’t quite smell like roses. As soon as I sat down to take off my shoes, Felix jumped on my lap and quickly buried his pretty head in my armpit. Thankfully he survived it without irreversible brain damage and was able to walk straight again within an hour or so.

      Millie just stands up and pushes her nose right up my blank. No howdydo or anything. I get thorough toe cleaning on my left foot only? She also stands on my chest in the morning to make sure my eyes are clean.

        We’ve always had bigger dogs, and they *always* want to stick their nose in your unmentionables. It can be quite awkward with guests!

        A friend of mine always says ” Please allow the dog to check your identity” so I thought about showing my driving license to the Goldie but he took a sniff instead. I feel so relieved that we humans recognize one another from faces, voice and gestures, doing it the canine way would make me socialize even less.

      Long ago in high school days my brother played football. He would come home after summer practices amazingly sweaty. Before his shower, he would flop down on the floor with his arms over his head. The cat would immediately come by to rub her head in his arm pits.
      It was grossly fascinating.
