Some shorthairs shed way more than some longhairs. Dalmatians will have you snowed under in six minutes. Maltese shed about enough to fill a Q-tip every six months.

They’re *wonderful* dogs, though inclined to be bossy and barky if not assiduously trained in puppyhood. I got Ricky when he was about seven, and he turned unofficially-officially 16 two days ago. So I’ve had nine years of “this is what happens when you don’t train your Maltese well and consistently”!
I don’t care. He’s not perfect, but he’s perfect for me. Best thing that ever happened to me was getting this little guy, with all his challenges and imperfections.

How are T-Two and Clementine today?
Clementine is home and fairly bouncey – I’m amazed at how well she’s eating and how active she’s been. She looks pretty scary – as I said earlier, bunny eye sockets are really protuberant in the best of circumstances so when it’s shaved and swollen and stitched it’s not a pretty sight. She’s let me put some cold compresses on it – she even chuttered when I did it.
Any news about T-Two? Maybe it’s elsewhere in the posts.
T-Two is not doing as well as Clementine, he ate a little this morning and afterward we had to give him his antibiotic and later I found that he threw up his food. Tonight we gave him his pill before he ate but we just found that he threw up again. I don’t know if it’s the antibiotics hurting his stomach or the stress of giving him the pill that is the problem. The abscess seems to have almost diapered so we decided to stop the medication tomorrow and see if he keeps his food down.
Aw, rats, I’m so sorry. Can you give the meds separate from his food by a couple of hours? Or does he need to eat with the meds? Have you tried just a bit of yogurt with the meds? I hope he comes around soon!
Ok, he may very well lick this on his own! Sending super-duper tremendous-t-two-healing-powey-thoughts (just to add some back up strength.)
