I’m sure there are some humans who can relate to this scenario also. Hey, he tried!! I forgot I’d sent this in.
Poor Simon’s cat, he’s been trying with the same lady cat for years without success.
It’s like Charlie Brown, Lucy and the football.
I know and I always felt bad for Charlie Brown ?
Ha!
I should try this.
Also, Simon’s Cat’s date feels like every Valentine’s celebration I’ve ever experienced.
He’s still doing better than me…
Aw, Guys, I wish your Valentines had been better. I got married at 41 so I always think there’s hope – I have another friend wo didn’t get married ’til almost 50 – not the marriage is the goal – just a really companionable relationship is so nice.
I worked my butt off for Valentine’s dinner yesterday but it was so worth it. Our neighbors came over with my friend’s sister joining us. She just lost her husband a month or two shy of their 50th wedding anniversary. But I think it was a nice distraction for her since this was her first holiday without him, and I had the house and table looking so nice. And dinner was a great success. I made lemon pappardelle pasta with a Stilton cheese, smoked salmon, and caper sauce, and a flourless chocolate cake with raspberry whipped cream. Today I slept – and slept – and slept. Oy, I’m not as young as I used to be.?
