The Accidental Renaissance Museum is pleased to announce that it has acquired Flemish painter Hahrlberk van Bleen’s masterpiece The Pizza Eater. Set in the small upstairs studio where van Bleen lived and worked in the village of Fleurn, The Pizza Eater depicts van Bleen’s flatmate Jorgen, whose late-night snack had aroused the interest of local huskies.
Dang, now I want pizza, Andrew Y.
I’m getting pizza for lunch tomorrow (it’s a surprise bridal shower-type thing for a girl at work)! Sadly, there will be no pups.
Jorgen has nerves of steel. That kind of intense interest in what I was eating on the part of a number of large and powerful dogs would cause me to quail.
I wouldn’t turn down some pizza…or some Accidental Renaissance, come to that.
Huskies can visit. I’ll share…if it’s a big pizza.
This is an unrealistic painting. There should be puddles of drool and at least one of them should be singing at Van Bleen.
I like the one husky on the right who looks embarrassed by his friends’ rudeness.
I think he’s just playing it cool. “He’ll give me some because I’m the good boy who didn’t beg.”
Six huskies in one room. No matter how much I love them, I can’t help think: the smell in that house!
The hair balls….
Mike – of course you would cast this photo as a Renaissance painting!! You are one in a million!!

Did that ded Guy eat pizza with 6 Huskies too!?
No, that’s what happens when you DON’T share the pizza with 6 huskies LOL!!
?
Lol, there just seem to be a lot of Dutch painting where a bunch of dudes in identical, very somber clothing looking over another guy’s shoulder while that’s guy’s going about his business.
Kinky?
I feel like we’re about five minutes away from a feeding frenzy. Starting with that husky behind him who’s leaning very purposefully over his shoulder…
Hopefully that gentleman will be able to save the fingers on his left hand.
IF there’s anything left of him at all.
