Who wears short shorts?
aannnd this will be on repeat in my head all day.
I’ve been singing it ever since I posted that, if it makes you feel any better.
It oddly does, thank you for that. There could be worse things I suppose– they just played ‘Stars on 45’ on my stream and it gets grating.
Right. So, how many hours later and….
…and my targeted ad is a product called PupSocks… 😀
I’m just back form the vet with Penny, it’s official she has a mammalian tumour, in other words, breast cancer because the vet said that those kinds of tumour are almost always cancerous. She took X-rays that will be sent to a radiologist for analysis to see if the cancer has metastases into her lungs, if so there’s not much we can do. If the lungs are clear she will be going for surgery to remove the mass. She’s back home and we will be waiting for the results, I’m keeping my fingers crossed. Here she is at the vet,
This is awfully hard news. I am sending you and Penny the very best wishes for a happy outcome. She is so pretty!
I know how difficult waiting for news is; be kind to yourself, Gigi! A cup of tea, a crossword puzzle, a closet clearout—distractions are good when you have to deal with something like this.
Oh no Gigi! Keeping my fingers crossed that it can simply be removed. In the meantime let Penny know I quite like her Bonnie Raitt hair stripe.
Awwww darn! Hopefully you get good news. Gorgeous kitty. ?
She is gorgeous. This is very hard. I have fingers and toes crossed for you both.
Keeping your dear Penny in my thoughts and prayers. We will hope for a most positive outcome for the little sweetie.
Poor, beauteous pussy cat! I hope her final diagnosis is a good one. What a week of heartbreak for members of the Cutetropolis family.
What a feline beauty! We are keeping our fingers and paws crossed.
Hoping for a good result, even though surgery may be involved. Penny is a beautiful kitty. Is that what one calls tortise shell coloring?
Yes Penny is a tortoiseshell, she was a stray that a coworker found and couldn’t keep.
Thinking of you and Penny all day, Gigi. Still so raw from my recent loss, I want everyone to be able to keep their beloved companions forever!
Thank you for your support everyone, I haven’t had news yet. I suppose it will be a few days until I do, I hate to wait in the best of time, this will be hard.
I hope you get good news soon! I know how hard it can be when you’re waiting for news like this.
Gigi, I’m so sorry.
How is Penny feeling and behaving?
You’re both in my thoughts, and the kitties send purrs.
Sending you gentle feathery hugs
That’s a classic scrolldown if ever I saw one. Thanks for the chuckle, Mike—I take ’em wherever I can get ’em.
Silky smooth move.
Mike, your genius never fails.
I’m sorry to hear about Penny. Just went through this with my little girl and got news I wasn’t hoping for today. I hope it is better news for you and Penny. <3
Damn. and oh puppers I am sorry. Sad news abounds on this post. I tell ya, when I had to let Pie go it took me um, Feb, March and part of April to get Leanne Rimes, How Do I Live out of (seemingly constant repeat) my head. It fades, mellows somewhat. Everyone, keep on keeping on. Appreciating, seeking the good; laughter helps for me. Heck! This is why Mike’s site, this site is a top favourite; he keeps posting the funny, laugh out loud, silly good stuff. Peeps, life brings sadness and awful pain but tonnes of joy intermittently, continue to search and appreciate the beauty, the ‘roses.’
I’m so sorry. I remember when the doctor told me my Wacket had lung cancer that had metastasized and there was no hope. It’s like being punched in the heart.
But you’ll be there giving love and support and care.
Thanks for your kind words and words of truth Waldenpond, and I’m sorry about Wacket DUBRAVKAMCVMD (that’s a mouthfull! lol) It’s sad that our pets have such short lives, but I wouldn’t want to live without them in mine.
