Once or twice a year, Maru and Hana get a shower and shampoo, and the experience is an epic spectacle spread over three videos, so strap in. We begin with Maru; no stranger to indignity, he submits to the procedure without complaint.
Hana, on the other hand, has a lot to say about the ordeal, none of it good.
And for the aftermath of the bath (afterbath?), both Maru and Hana recover from their shampoo by — what else? — washing themselves.
Let us now shower praise on Andrew Y. and Lois M. for their sender-innering.

I didn’t expect much fuss from the chillest cat on the planet, but not even one meow or the slightest attempt to get away? Amazing. Poor Hana though. She was still a good girl despite her extreme displeasure with the whole thing!
Seriously. My cats would have made multiple attempts to escape. She was very good.
And all this time I thought Maru rhymed with “baroo”! Obviously it should be pronounced “Mare-Oo” to rhyme with “hair”!
Amazing! Maru and Hana truly love and trust Mugumogu. Hana was really unhappy but she seemed to be saying Mom there’s this THING happening and I really don’t like it but did not blame Mom. My Minkette would have zeroed right in on who was the culprit.
I loved this. I thought Hannah acted like totally cat-like. Maru confirmed his “otherworldly” nature again. I am amazed at how much they both trust their cat-mama MugoMogu. The scenes in their cat trees recovering from their baths were lovely. You can see how close they are, but it was also like “can you believe what just happened?”
So much to love in these videos – like Maru’s shadow outside the shower door in the beginning of Hana’s shower and her little lick on Mugomogu’s wrist. And the Maru’s slow, languorous licking of his leg as he makes a ham (which is what we call it when our cat does that move, especially when she’s licking her b**t h**e.

Mike, I emailed you about not getting confirmation emails again – I just cleared my history tho’ it had only been a couple of days or so since I did that – not sure why this might be happening.

But that’s okay.
Well in support of Hana’s position I would point out that Hana is being made WET and she has raised the issue with Mom and yet the WET continues to happen.
That’s why she deserves treats.
So Maru does have a lot of fluff–it’s not just pudge! That was amazing, to see him just go through the shower without any fuss.
