Maru Gets Lucky

At first, Maru can hardly believe his good fortune. He has been blessed with a lucky box full of what he likes best: coffin-like confinement. Alas, the cruel hand of Fate (or his mommy) intercedes to seal the box and place treats maddeningly beyond his reach. Yet in the end Dame Fortune prevails, and soon Hana joins Maru as they extract delicious morsels from within the mystical apparatus. Huzzah!

A day with Maru is always a lucky day, Andrew Y.

Love that we’re getting longer vids from Mugumogu >:3
And new camera angles / new ideas too!

Yes, the Box Point of View. A major milestone to be sure.

We need little thought bubbles to tell us what the box is thinking…

Love the interior shots! This is one seriously silly cat.

I’m surprised neither Hana or Maru tipped the box over, for easier access to the fuds.

I wondered that, too. In fact the box never moved on the floor. Could it have been secured in some way?

I think Mugomugu had some double-sided tape under that box. Loved the camera inside and getting to see Maru and Hana “fish”!

What is the box made of? Even if it’s secured at bottom, the sides of the box are so thin, you’d think they’d crumble under the weight 🙂

Maybe it goes against their sense of sportsmanship – you have to tackle the challenge as it’s presented 😀

Plus if Maru or Hana broke the box then they wouldn’t be able to play IN it later XD

This is definitely an artistic breakthrough for Mugmogu. 15 minutes of nail-biting tension and innovative cinematography! The camera angle from the point of view of the treats! With the sound of the sniffing! Hana’s brilliant breakthrough as she triumphantly removes the treat from the box and carries it away! and then the surprising conflict with Mugumogu when Mugumogu, unjustly I think, tries to take the treat away fromHana, who caught it fair and square. The scary part where Hana growls at Mugumogu. Isn’t there a short film category at the Academy Awards? Can we do a write-in nomination?

Can’t really blame Hana, when the treat broke apart Mugumogu gave some of that to Maru. Totally unfair.
