Zoomies Test Track

This frisky husky treats her house like a personal obstacle course — zooming, darting and leaping so fast that her little playmate can’t keep up. And if you think this speed demon is fast indoors, just wait until she hits the open backyard! NEEEAAAAWRRRMMMM!

The little one’s just part of the obstacle course, isn’t he? He should maybe wear a helmet. Or body armor.

That flying leap onto the couch is pretty impressive. I’m not sure he’s actually touching the table on the way.

I’m more impressed with the leap UNDER the couch.

Yes, that one looks like it could go spectacularly wrong.

He leapt right over the doxie when they were outside! That’s a doggo that’s going to need a lot of tiring out! Glad he’s not mine, tho’ he’s so adorable. I wonder if, like many of the rest of his breed, he sings.

It never occurred to me that big dogs would get the zoomies! Adorable and impressive acrobatics.

I do feel compelled to speak up on behalf of stubby-legged creatures everywhere, whether canine or hoomin. We try to keep up with our long-legged friends, but it’s tough, man! And it’s really insulting when you leap over our heads! ๐Ÿ˜‰

when you think about it. He was bred to run for MILES in the snow while pulling heavy objects. Jumping over a doxie and conquering a half acre is nothing.

Sorry to be a downer but this video bothers me a LOT!! A Husky is a breed that HAS to have lots of run time. It’s in their genes. It’s not for someone who works away from home and has to leave a breed like her alone for extended periods of time. They can get very bored with being left alone and not getting to run like this one finally got to do. That can lead to destructive tendencies. And then they blame the dog for being destructive. Looks like this family needed another Doxie to keep the other one company and not a flying furbody that runs roughshod over the Doxie. The video was posted in 2016 so maybe Nora has calmed down a bit with maturing. Let’s hope so. Or the owner lets her outside several times a day to run off some of that energy.

I was worried too but that backyard is really large (at least to the eyes of a NYC resident), with room to RUN!

Wow – those are the most graceful zoomies I’ve ever seen! Leaping like a gazelle over the table and diving into the couch cushions. Would love to see that in slow motion.

The human did encourage the zoomies and let them continue outside in a big fenced yard. I think the big doggo found a good family who seems prepared to love a larger active K9.

The cameraโ€™s moving too quickly back and forth to see clearly, but the table looks like a giant pepperoni pizza.

      I thought the same thing!

The dachshund reminds me of Hana – “Oh, here we go again!”

Yup. Every charismatic star needs a straight sidekick.

This may be more information than anyone wants. It also may be too late (my overnight comments often are). But this https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCWpIGvI7PhMlJYBDMvHXADg is where the video came from (as at least one of us knows, because that’s where the date is given) and it appears to all be videos of the site owners and their pets: the husky is named Nora, the doxie is Oscar, and there’s a cat named Jack. There’s a playlist for each of them here https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCWpIGvI7PhMlJYBDMvHXADg/playlists . Nora does sing (first video on her playlist) and apparently she also got to pull a sled — current featured video on the site’s homepage, and the 9th on her playlist. No number of videos can show what a dog’s life is like 24/7, but that might provide more evidence before we judge whether they are good stewards of that furry bundle of energy.

Cool, thank you for searching that out!
