Mousers and Monsters

“Warrior, you rolled 15, to which we add your +8 whapping strength for total damage of 23. Sorceress, you cast Caterwaul of the Ancients with a roll of 5, which fails to slow the Doberdemon. Half-elf, you unleashed Hyperion’s Hairball of Harming with a force roll of nine, a gooeyness roll of twelve, and a splattering radius roll of seven multiplied by half your +3 accuracy stat, for total damage of… hold on a sec… um, carry the two…”

Even I would consider playing that game…

OMG. I just recently played D & D for the first time ever. This is exactly what it sounded like to me ??

Beware the Dire-Vacuum of Hoover. It has a +15 on all intimidation checks and is impervious to whapping.

I backed a kickstarted a little while back called Dungeons and Doggies. Soon I will receive little dog figurines, including a golden retriever wizard and a chihuahua rogue with a dagger in his teeth. I’m super excited and the adventure where I use them will probably be super dumb in the best way.

I saw an article about that! Was going to feature it in links; maybe I should now.

Wow, flashback to my high school days. Had a friend that was really into D&D and most of her parties usually had at least one game going on during the festivities. Even had an early version of a computer/video game – she put a tape into a tape recorder that was hooked up to a basic computer and they were prompts on the monitor to roll dice, dice results, etc. Pretty funky stuff back in the early 80’s.

I am totally gobsmacked and haven’t a CLUE to what this is all about. I did suss out that it has something to do with Dungeons and Dragons but since I really don’t know what that’s about I’m pretty useless. NO need to explain – it’d go over my head anyway.?

My friends tried to get me a couple of geeky card games the other night. just didn’t get them.

Thankfully we found more fun things to do at Dragoncon this year. Ridiculous cosplay bunny party, heavy metal kareoke, pop up raves, etc.

Just wish that they had mermaid races again at the hotel pool…
