This is Nutter Butter, a kitten up for adoption. Nutter Butter is healthy and frisky, and just as cute as a kitten can be. But most importantly, Nutter Butter has acquired a useful skill for getting ahead in life:

Aw, he looks like a sweetie. Screaming or no.
My cat scares me half to death, hate to think what Nutter Butter could do. ?
I would like to compare Nutter Butter’s screams to Scorpius’s high-pitched meow. He scares the upstairs cats EVERY.SINGLE.NIGHT when he lets loose. (Of course, they’re scared of him anyway.)
He’s howling because clearly he got the wrong name! He should be Oreo. Nutter Butter should be an orange/brown tabby.
My Butchie howls something fierce – at me. To other people it sounds like he’s going to take a good swipe at me. I know it’s all noise. I scoop him up to more squawking and protestations until he is against me, then he tucks his head under my chin and starts purring and turns into the biggest shmoozer. I am totally okay with it.
So glad Nutter Butter got adopted!
A few years ago I was at a nearby county fair with some friends and in one of the farm animal tents there was a pair of speckled chickens (don’t know the breed), one black with white and the other brown with black; their names were Oreo and Chips Ahoy. 😀
That’s adorable!
My physical therapist has chickens, including some called Lavender Orpingtons, who are apparently very sweet and mellow (and yes, their feathers really are lavender).
Wow. Now I want lavender chickens! I would name them all after purple flowers – Violet, Iris, Petunia, Lilac, Sage… the rooster could be Lupin….
Dear Little Nutter Butter:
You just keep doing what you feel like doing regardless of what that sign says. Quietly doing a good job and expect that to be constantly noticed and rewarded – that’s not how adult workplace works :p
Too bad you weren’t named Butter Finger- you’d be out of there in no time. Or flat on your back. Still my favorite candy…
I love Butterfingers – specially if you stick them in the fridge for a while.
