Story Time

“… and so, having defeated the Sinister Socksnakes of the Sahara, and having climbed to the summit of Mount Ottoman, and after crawling through the untamed jungles of Backyardia and facing the onslaught of the ferocious Kittenbeasts, the Very Brave Babysitter laid down her head and took a well-deserved nap. The end.”

Something tells me babysitter is gonna regret that nap with this gang.

Also, can we have a reboot of The Babysitters Club series with Shibas and kittens?

I’ll see your “awwwww” and raise you two! Many years ago I had a puppy and a cat who had kittens and there was cuteness to spare during those charmed days. The kittens would snuggle up in any available space around the puppy and if you picked a kitten up it would inevitably be soaked in puppy spit, he washed them so much. Lovely time.

Aw, what a patient babysitter! I hope he realizes there will be no moving until his adorable little charges are ready to get up!

Some of those kittens look wide awake and bushy tailed but their baby sitter looks in need of a nap.

It should be Sir Richard Attenborough reading this. That would be aaaaaaaw-some. 🙂

I loffs the Very Brave Babysitter and hope the Widdle Kittenbeasts will give her a break before Going on New Adventures.

    I don’t that there’s a repellent collar for these.

I think babysitter will be lucky if that nap lasts for two minutes.

lol…a site I used to read had a running joke in the comment threads of mixing up Australia and Austria. I guess people aren’t the only ones who get confused…

Why, in heaven’s name, would anyone think it was a good idea to keep an kangaroo for a pet?????

Probably zoo or nature park. Being strong animals they can break out of enclosures and simply hop off on their merry way.

I’ll be darned! We must’ve driven through Hellmonsödt after the film festival two weekends ago and I didn’t see anything out of the ordinary! As the article points out, this happens every so often… a kangaroo escapes and gets world wide attention. I will, however, keep my eyes open!

And Allein is right, people really do confuse Austria and Australia. The worst offenders work for the postal service and I’ve gotten mail from the States months later because it got routed to Australia. Usually if someone makes that mistake with me (as recently as three weeks ago) I tell them “think of the Sound of Music.”

P.S. I have a version of that t-shirt that has a cartoon mama kangaroo with a joey in her pouch. The joey is holding a sprig of edelweiss and there are mountains in the background. It’s much cuter than the road sign, but i couldn’t find it online and the t-shirt itself is in Iowa.

P.P.S. fun fact: my real name is Joey because before I was born, I kicked so hard in my mama’s belly that the doctor told her she wasn’t having a baby, but rather a baby kangaroo!

LOL we once got some mail here in Massachusetts (MA) that had been sidetracked to Malta!

And when I lived in Louisiana, our mail sometimes got redirected to Los Angeles!

    • Kar September 5, 2018 / 1:54 am

I suspect that the kangaroo is more confused than anyone.
