Maru, as we all know, is made almost entirely out of floof, and while his luxurious outer coating gives him the chubby roundness we’ve come to adore, the excess fur on his paws make it hard to scamper across his polished wood floor. So now and then out comes the trimmer to give Maru’s paws a good mowing and let his toebeans breathe again.

The opening shot of Maru relaxing on the hammock left me speechless. Maru trusts Mugumogu totally – he was not totally happy with his paws being handled that way but if that’s what Mom wants to do OK. She is so devoted to Maru and Hana – I would never have thought about shaving too much fur from paws.

He is unbelievably relaxed. I like how patient Mugumogu was in introducing M&H to the clipper.

I can just imagine if I tried that on Stars. She’d run as soon as the noise started and I wouldn’t see her for hours, if not days…
I’m impressed! Maru is obviously very laid back to allow that to happen. I still struggle using the clippers on my dogs. They don’t like the noise/vibrations, They also have excessive toe floof, which make the hardwood floors very slippery. We call the floof Grinch feet. ?
