I had no idea naked mole rats led lives so complex it would take Shakespeare, or at least George R.R. Martin, to do justice to their power struggles!

I know, talk about a Game of Thrones! And some of the other weird facts they threw in made me kinda go ewww. Like, the queens can make their bodies longer to fit more pups in when they’re pregnant?? Sometimes nature blows your mind.

I am getting stressed just reading about it and I thought my workplace had politics! And am I the only curmudgeon here who LOATHES LEAF BLOWERS. What ever happened to healthy, quiet swish sound leaf raking. *grumble, grumble* Oh and morning all! 🙂

I don’t blame Stella. That leaf pile looks very inviting. I remember jumping into leaf piles as a child.

The best part of that is the hashtag #overstellous 🙂
(Okay, the second best part.)

Labradors are like enthusiasm factories. They really know how to live.
The only thing more smoochable than a capybara is a capybara bebbeh!

I’d never seen a baby. Peanuts with legs, a commenter on Zooborns said. So true. And so adorable.

Great links this morning. Entertaining AND educational. Love how huugge the leaf pile is that Stella leaps into. That is one thing I do not miss about living back East, raking every fall. The end result is great but it’s hell of a lot of work.
And how could anyone forget to mention some more men of Cutetropolis for saving that kangaroo. Way to go guys!
Another zoo’s capybara just had two babies, and the keepers hadn’t known she was pregnant. They explained it along the lines of “Due to the fact that capybaras are barrel-shaped…”

In case you didn’t see it, there’s more of Stella on Instagram – delicious moments of her completely obliterated by leaves with just her madly wagging tail protruding from the leaf pile. Yes, labs do know how to live.

Apparently one of her humans enjoys the pile as well:

More leaf pile fun:
Thanks! I’d love to get in there with her.
Boinga, Boing, Boing!! Love the end shot when all you see is her happy waggy tail.
Love her sproinging and periscope tail!
Stella+leaf pile=PURE JOY!
