For generations, this hybrid of fur and feather was considered nothing but a myth, often talked about but never seen. Associated with good fortune, it’s said that to occupy its mystical chair would confer the upper hand in any situation. Now at last we have photographic evidence of the existence of this elusive creature: the catbird.

This is so great.
Like five different people sent me this over the course of yesterday. It’s gone seriously viral. That cat’s hyooman should be proud.
It is early morning for this level of brain bendage.
Awesome!
I need to take a closer look at the crows in the parking lot at Starbucks…
I see the calendar is 20% off now. Wondering if there’ll be a better deal coming or should I just go ahead and order now…? Decisions, decisions.
I ordered mine! I hope the discount doesn’t affect what Mike gets….
It took me a little to figure out what the picture was – truly amazing capture of a moment!
Thanks! Rest assured that the discount comes from my publisher’s cut, not mine.
I totally couldnโt see it at first. Iโm thinking itโs a bird, ok? (No coffee yet….) Wow.
I had the same problem. Then I saw it and started howling. Best scrolldown ever!
Some of the younger folks might not get the reference to the saying “Sitting in the catbird seat”.
Then they should read it!

I saw a bird first, then realized it was a cat. Great picture.
Perfect! It’s like a real-life version of the “rabbit or duck” drawing.
Like many others, it took me a few minutes to figure out cat is bird and bird is cat. Originally I was thinking oh that’s interesting, somehow they got a picture at the exact moment a bird flew over a cat and the two images merged. LOL, definitely time for some breakfast.
That is so precise in form and shading that I don’t think you could photo-shop something this incredible.
People have certainly tried ๐
