Happy Caturday, Cutetropolitans! Today we are under the watchful supervision of Teller, whose human, Muppet2171, describes this as “My view while I work. Little bugger is meanly and ruthlessly napping at me! He has no mercy whatever!”

Ruthless Napping!!! How dare he, this must not be allowed.
All outrage aside, he can do whatever he wants, he is GORGEOUS! Actually he should be doing his ruthless napping ON me and yes I know I’d get absolutely no work done but it’d be worth it, lol.
Lots of fun plans this weekend. First breakfast with hubby then off to an arts & crafts show. Then I might have time to wander through some shops before seeing a movie on La Divina Madame Maria Callas. Tomorrow, we’ll go shopping for Christmas decorations and put them up. Our neighborhood has a contest each year and the kids are the judges. Should be interesting, all I can think of is the rivalry between Betty Lou Who and Martha May Whovier from the Grinch. I promise though to leave the light from the fridge alone.
Yes, a beauteous kitty – you should get him a buddy and name her Ruth so there’d be less of that ruthlessly nonsense.
I’m off to my second day of the Studio Tour Craft Show that I’m taking part in – or, if you like, in which I am taking part. I sold a fair amount last night but mostly small-is things – I haven’t sold any of my painted mirrors. I’ll send Mike a picture of my table – Mike if you wouldn’t mind posting I’d be ever so grateful! Have a great day, everyone – AJ, love that you’re going out to buy Christmas decor – what could be more fun than that????
I’m sorry I’m late getting to this, but here are the photos that Murray sent me.
I love the blue and white painted mirror. On the tree, are those ornaments or gift boxes that people can hang on their trees?
Yes, they’re little paper mâché boxes I do little illustrations on – they can be used as gift boxes then hung on the tree. I learned about some teenagers who have boxes and they use them to store earrings. I was rather tickled!
Murray, Every single item is beautiful.
Aw, thanks, Sweetie! glad you’re getting ready to do some more drawings/paintings. The theme is really interesting, too, and sounds cathartic. Are your art classes still in session? The watercolor class I teach is having its last session on Wednesday and then we start up again in Feb. or so. We have a little party and it’s a nice cap off for the season. We’ve had a good group this session – occasionally I feel like I reach people!?
Sometimes, when he’s feeling really cruel, he naps on my bed. So when I pop in on my breaks, he can look up from my comfy blankets and gloat!
*sigh* My next life, I’m coming back as a pampered housecat.
Mornin’ all!
Not much going on this weekend. Met my best friend at the bookstore after work last night so she could get some things for her kids, and I got a few gifts (my mom’s calendar and two books my brother requested). I’m meeting another friend and his wife tonight. I have other things to get so I’m going to try to get there early and get my own shopping done first.
I am happy to report that over the last two days, little Winter went from crying for her Daddy in less than five minutes at my place, to (next day) several hours at my place just hanging out, nomming on toys, and napping (and some pooping, but her humans are working on that). So all looks well for the upcoming “official” three days of dog-sitting.
Awwww. Good luck Ricky’s Mom! Sending nose boops.
Teller, you can ruthlessly nap at me anytime! ?????
I had a wonderful night out at my local theatre earlier this week – a double bill by Ballet Black including “A Dream Within A Midsummer Night’s Dream”, probably the funniest dance production I’ve ever seen. Puck was dressed as a cross-dressing Boy Scout with flowers growing in his hair and beard, two of the couples enjoyed a brief same-sex fling before being reunited, and the music included songs by Yma Sumac and Barbra Streisand!
Those dancers look like they were having fun, but my poor aching knees, just watching them in a short snippet made my knees start hurting.
Weekend so far: bf arrived from Vienna, flat-tire false alarm, shopping, pizza, beer, a good night’s sleep, leftover pizza for breakfast, shopping center, long walk, roasted chestnuts and mulled cider, pumpkin pie from scratch, and now bf is cooking dinner. Just the kind of weekend I need before semester exams start next week!
Just got an email. My calendar shipped!
Ruthless napping: sounds criminal. Lol.
Nice plans everyone. Enjoy.
I am mentally drawing my next two works. I am working on depicting the concept of removing my parents’ negative ways of thinking from my self. This involves some googling to find the correct psychological terms or words. Then I draw what I see in my mind to get my point across.
Teaching Millie to spin on command. She spins on the bed when she gets the zoomies. Hilarious.
I’m late checking in, and if I’d visited in the morning to see Teller’s ruthless napping, it might have made the whole day better. Snarly mood upon waking, then unpleasant household tasks, then a batch of peanut butter fudge that has now failed TWICE (clearly it’s the recipe at fault). So I took a nap and restarted the day: chocolate fudge turned out beautifully, many shelves hung in bathroom and bedroom, and now a quiet evening. Maybe I was just grouchy because I wanted another four-day weekend!
Oooo. Fudge!
So a week or two ago someone mentioned Misty Mints, which I had to google. Tonight I was at Target and happened upon these in the Christmas section:
They are yummy.
