Y’all, I have such joy in my heart today, I thought I’d share it with you! This is the first Friday in I don’t know how long I’ve had free, just for myself. Three day weekend!
I started off with today’s yoga exercise on Yoga with Adriene. This 30 day yoga journey (Dedicate) is awesome, on demand and best of all, free! I recommend the Youtube channel highly if you haven’t already discovered it.
After breakfast, I went shopping. Got some bins to organize all my stuff that has been sitting in my living room for years. Now I can put it in stackable bins in my junk room. I also got pots and dirt and fertilizer for my languishing orchids, and some morning glories to start inside before spring.
Then I went grocery shopping. Splurged a bit and at check out I got my purchases for FREE (sirens, flashing lights, the works)! It’s a promotion they do in January when everyone’s broke from Christmas.
Then as I was unloading my car at home, a blue heron flew over my head! And Mike posted the article about sled dogs which is the icing on the cake!
These are days you remember when the going gets tough! Happy Friday, everyone!
Sounds like a good day. (As I’m just getting started at work here in East Coast US.)
I’ll have to check out that youtube channel later. I have a yoga app on my tablet but I haven’t really explored it yet. It’s called Down Dog and I’ll admit I picked it partially because they have a cute puppy logo.
Tonight I’m going to my friend’s and we’re finally doing Christmas.
Allein, Adriene also has a canine yoga partner named Benji who appears in nearly all her videos!
Well now I’ll definitely check it out!
Side note, is it bad that I’m stealing a few packets of Swiss Miss from the kitchen at work to stick in my friend’s kids’ Christmas presents? 😉
What a wonderful day Fritz! I love the Blue Heron fly over, I imagine it was magical.
FKAWalden, I think this heron lives in the nearby creek which has open water. Wasn’t expecting to see it today because there are so many helicopters in the air for avalanche control – so yes, it was special!
I hope you are OK in the huge Austrian snow!
I’m fine, EMS, but some of my friends and students are stranded in the mountains!
Of all the cute, it’s the tiny Santa hat on the Christmas Eve kittens that has kilt me ded.
I LOVE BLAIR BRAVERMAN AND HER VARSITY TEAM!!!
I decided to get back on Twitter just to follow her.
Yay, Julie! anyone else wanna connect on Twitter? @daseinist
I’m now in love with her too, and especially her Buffy the Vampire Slayer litter. Maybe my next cats need to have BTVS names–I’m running out of Harry Potter characters.
Spike the puppy rocks my world *almost* as much as Spike the vampire.
I LOVED the sled dog bios. A trip to Alaska many years ago was maybe my favorite vacation ever. Alaska is beautiful!
I want a prairie dog to fall asleep in my arms!
Ditto
I want to believe that it’s the Dramatic Prairie Dog who got worn out from being dramatic on the Intertubes.
The nostril flare from snoring made me howl.
