Wild Wombat Bedtime

Anyone who ever shared a bedroom with a younger sibling knows this scene. All that little wombat Adelaide wants to do is sleep in her comfy new bed, but her bunkmate Yarra isn’t ready to call it a night just yet. But even as Yarra jumps and flops around the room, Adelaide stays fast asleep.

Suggested by Lindy, a “wombat mum” for ACT Wildlife Australia.

    Poor Adelaide…

That flop toward the end was epic…too bad it was on her head.

I agree, such a dramatic flop at the end, but so cute and funny. Future drama queen? I feel for Yarra, who is tired and wants to rest.

Does anyone else remember the “Fosbury Flop”? https://mayooshin.com/dick-fosbury/ It’s all about thinking outside the box, or in this case, outside the wom-bed.

LOL, you’re the one thinking outside the box to associate the baby wombat’s flop with the Olympic technique – but I see it!

Makes sense to me! I enjoyed trying to guess which sport this dealt with and I was right! Amazing. And what could be a better name than “Fosbury flop”? Central Casting couldn’t have named it better.

Couldn’t agree more with all the assessments – tears of laughter.

P.S. Yarra can come sleep with me anytime.
