I’d give the bat a library card.
He has no pockets, they’ll just have to keep it on file.
He can wing it.
Ooh, well done, Smartypants! Allein, I agree—I’d give the bat a card, too. That really was a brilliant thread. Got my morning off to an excellent start.
The MERL and its bat! I remember a story about British Railways and its program assisting in the rescue of hedgehogs, or is that a fantasy?
There’s a British Hedgehog Preservation Society: https://www.britishhedgehogs.org.uk
They named him MERlin? too cute!!!
Big doggy needs to learn to be nice…. (no matter how cute that is…)
We all get older.

I like the one with the teenager who forgot “foal” and called them “horse puppies.”
Horse puppy is my favourite. I once forgot the word for basement and called it “the under the house concrete thing”.
I once forgot the word ‘spaghetti’ and had to settle for ‘edible flour string’.
You can get the cat paw mug thru Amazon! Takes a while to get here, but there are lots of sellers. I found them using both “cat paw cup” and “cat claw mug” as search strings.
I’ve just looked this item up on Amazon.co.uk and I can’t believe the difference in price between various sellers!
That’s my spot… I’m waiting for both dogs to pull the human off the couch!
Good point! I thought dogs were supposed to work as a team!
Growing up, our lab once jumped onto the couch, stuffed himself down between mom and the sofa back, and shoved with all four feet. Mom went on the floor. Dad and I just about died laughing. Dog was pleased.
We had a poodle when I was very little that, when our other dog was in her spot, she would go to the door and bark, knowing he would race to bark, too, leaving the spot wide open for her to reclaim. She was very bright. He was not. 🙂
I read there were actually fists fights between some Starbucks customer over who got to get one of the mug since they was a limited numbers of them.
I don’t know that I would punch someone to get one but I could maybe scream “Hey! There’s Elvis!” and then grab the cup when the other guy looked around for the King. ?
Is it wrong that I want a cat mug and Shiba marshmallows to float in it?
Love the dogwalking pack and the jealous husky.
Oh, the expressions on the faces of the dog-walking pack! The senior dog in the front row in the first two photos looks less than thrilled at being out in the snow. And the final photo is proof that in every group photo there will always be one participant looking in the wrong direction.
Okay, I couldn’t see the last video at work; that just made my day.
I love how the little pupper just starts munching on the popcorn bits(?) on the floor. He’s like, “what the? …ooh, snacks!”
:D! I didn’t notice that until now. Everyone’s a winner!
The bat story made my day!? So glad he was taken care of correctly.
Hey! Maybe he read “Bats at the Library”!
bat story made my yesterday too 🙂
