The replacement of the other knee is now scheduled for May; wish me luck! (As I gimp around in a blue cloud…)
Lily’s newest favorite box: a shoe box with tissue paper! Who doesn’t like those??
So no comment editing? Bummer!
Also, it says maximum file size for images is 60MB… SIXTY megabytes, really?? How big a camera are we supposed to have??? lol! Even my full frame SLR doesn’t generate files that big! I’ve made 5-shot digital composites that are still only in the 30MB range. Hmm, maybe I should take this as a challenge……. 🙂
Good luck with the knee surgery!
Always lovely!
Good luck with the up coming surgery Jan. Hope your cloud isn’t too blue!
Thanks all! The blue cloud is mostly me swearing… 😎
Good morning! Faye sent me this adorable photo of her Mille and asked me to post it here:
Definitely adorable Faye.
Hi everyone! Thank you Mike!
Yup, Millie is even more cute in person. Pure adorableness 24/7! Deep in the blankets with me all night.
So very sweet! Luv Millie 💕
Such a cutie! All bundled up is the best place to be!
Mike, it looks as though you’ll have no problems with the new host – kittens make EVERYTHING better!
Totally smitten with Miss Millie.
Thank you!
Hi everyone! I am home from the hospital recovering from surgery over the next few weeks and sooooooo in need of the cute!!!Hope everyone is doing well. I have a jigsaw puzzle to work on, and some puzzle books from a friend, but I’m already going a little stir crazy being cooped up with strict limitations: no driving, no lifting, etc. Not really sure how I will survive another 5 weeks of this. At least my parrot is thrilled to have me all to himself 24/7.
Hi Birdcage – waving back from SoCal. Hope you start feeling better soon and if you do everything the dr says, maybe the restrictions will be lifted quicker.
Take things slow and steady Birdcage.
Very good advice from Faye. Slow and steady is key.
Birdie, this, right now, is the worst you will feel.
You will slowly and surely feel better and better
each day. Yes, you will. Ah has spoken! Anyone
out there old enough to get the reference?
Lil Abner!? It took me a while but finally remembered the name of the toon. Right?
Right! Mom Mammy Yokum.
I hear you. It’ll go faster than you realize I hope. In the meantime, i hope that you can find some writing projects. Or catch up on some audio book series.
Wow, between the IT kitties, Millie & Lily, it’s definitely cute overload here today. I wonder if those kittens can help with my glitchy Chromebook. It has a lovely habit of shutting down in the middle of browsing or if I have too many tabs open. Think it’s time for a new laptop but just can’t decide – Mac or Windows? I have a Ipad mini that I can use with an external keyboard but that may be too small plus I’d need a laptop stand and stands are almost as much as a new laptop. Heavy sigh, too many choices/decisions to make. Maybe I’ll be like Milly and just go back under the covers.
I do have some good news – in about a week I get a new roof!!! Yippee!!! Now the tarps and buckets can be put away. Just hoping they get it done in about a day or so, otherwise I may have to decamp to a hotel for a few days.
Not much going on over here, just lots of running around and errands to do. Hope everyone has a good weekend and Happy St. Patrick’s Day tomorrow.
I vote Mac. You can’t beat Apple’s customer service.
Totally agree! Apple is worth the expense over the long haul. Fantastic customer service over the phone. Not one problem and all my stuff works together! Bought an iwatch with tax refund. Most amazing experience ever.
I agree, Mac all the way.
It really depends on what you want to do with the laptop. If it’s more business orientated, you may want to go with Windows because there’s more business software written for Windows.
If you’re doing more creative, personal computing Mac could be the way to go, especially since you already have an iPad. Apple products work together almost seamlessly and if you have an iPhone too you can jump from one device to the other with relative ease.
I love going to hotels. Someone else has to tidy the room,
and someone else has to feed me. There’s usually a nice,
big TV. It’s a mini vacation.
I’m leaning to Mac but we’ll probably end up with a Windows. Unfortunately, Macs don’t come with a USB or HDMI or Micro SD card slots and that’s what we need as we’re using this for downloading pictures when we go on our cruise this summer. To say we’ll be cut off is an understatement. I know Alaska is semi-remote and most places don’t have cell service but we’re going on a smaller boat that doesn’t have wi-fi at all. No wi-fi means no uploading to the cloud to save the pictures. And as this is a once in a lifetime vacay, I don’t want to lose any of the shots.
Have you considered a Chromebook? I have one with all of the ports you mentioned. (Macs should have USB ports, and there should be USB adapters that will accommodate Micro SD)
Everyone knows software has bugs, so these expert technicians will have lots to play with!
There’s an awful lot of cute going on here today. Those innocent baby kitten faces are adorable. Lily still has that “kiss me here” spot between her ears. And Millie knows she is forever sweet.
Crazy, up-and-down week. Mostly down.
CT scan this afternoon. I’m desperately hoping it shows SOMETHING good, or at least less bad than it has been.
Feathered hugs to everyone.
Hoping for good news Duckie.
Good luck with the scan, Duckie. It’s always scary
to have a scan. I’m with you.
Where are the baby kitten faces?
As an IT tech, I’m cringing at the static damage kitty fur must have done to that computer. Though, from the looks of it, it’s really old so no one likely cared.
Jan, I’m wishing you luck and saying a prayer for your replacement. And I agree, Lily has been an excellent choice. Shoe boxes were practically made for kitties to sleep in.
Millie is adorable as ever, Faye. Give her a cuddle for me.
Will cuddle!
Why can’t the IT guys at my job be this cute?
Yesterday was my brother’s birthday so we’re going for dinner tonight. Other than that no real plans for the weekend besides taxes and laundry.
I need some IT kitties at work- I’ve been trying to figure out a new piece of equipment and it would be so much more palatable if there were kitties.
Lily is one lucky kitteh- a shoe box AND tissue paper sounds like kitty heaven!
Millie has the right idea- it’s a stay under the covers kinda day. Unfortunately the yard isn’t going to clean itself up.
My mom had a PET scan last week that showed “marked improvement.” I’m not sure if that means “no cancer” or “a lot less cancer,” but she met with a surgeon who thinks her bouts with partial intestinal blockages may be due to adhesions from both the cancer and the treatments she’s had, and it sounds like they can do a laparoscopic surgery to help.
Off to start cleaning up some of the mess from our recent snow/ice/wind. Happy weekend!
Oh, SoccerSue, that’s WONDERFUL news!
Hey, peeps. Look carefully in the upper left quadrant of the picture. I think I see Mama cat and another orangeling.
Good luck with the up coming surgery Jan. Hope your cloud isn’t too blue!
IT kittens, Lily in a box, and Millie under the covers–it doesn’t get much cuter than this! I’m celebrating with those of you who have good news and commiserating over impending or recent surgeries and other “inconveniences.”
Northern Colorado’s bomb cyclone had me working at home on Wednesday and Thursday–even though it had been 60 the day before! I took Friday off to work on the bathroom, and that project is finally picking up speed. If only I’d bought enough glue!
Three-day weekends are spectacular. I echo Fitz from Agents of Shield, when asked what he would choose if he could have anything he wanted: an extra day between Saturday and Sunday.
Happiness and health to everybody celebrating St. Patricks tomorrow!
Just back from the hospital, my 98 year old mother in law was admitted this week. She has been having problem with the circulation in the toes of one foot, they have gone black. The doctors don’t know yet what they are going to do, they talked of amputation but because of her age they hesitate.
If you can send some positive thoughts in her direction it would be appreciated.
Oh dear. I wish your family strength.
I wonder if that’s something that would respond to treatment with leeches? (No joke, they’ve been medically accepted). Minimally invasive and they have an anticoagulant in their saliva to keep things moving.
All the best to your MIL, Gigi. She must be
frightened.
In my thoughts and prayers.
Was able to finish my Federal income taxes. My medical
deduction was fairly spectacular this time.I will do the state
taxes next week. Pennsyltucky is generous to seniors – the
state lottery funds all kinds of good things for seniors, so
I think I will owe nothing to PA. Yippee!
Where are the baby kitten faces?
I’ve had 2 postings appear twice and I am pretty certain that I didn’t do that myself. Also I see no IT kitties. Is there a C-trop poltergeist still lurking? 😁
Ok finally I see them. Weird. Not the kitties…they are severely cute.
Testing…I just cleared my cache so hopefully my info will show up next time I post (Yes, I clicked the ‘save’ option).
Test #2 – and my info is still there – yay!
My taxes are done. 🙂
