   Awesome links today. And yeah, Gigi, Hemsworth and any animal, cute is off the charts. The video is too funny, pop and whap.

   Definitely need the cute today after the weekend the world has had. Plus found out last night that the Westboro Baptist Church is coming to protest at two high schools in my area. High Schools!!!! It just boggles my mind and boils my blood that they’re going to do that. And all because those schools have a high percentage of minority students, especially refugee Muslims students. A couple of volunteer organizations I belong to are going to counter protest, I wish I could go but I have to work plus that’s the day they start the re-roofing. I’d appreciate good thoughts next Monday that nobody on either side does something stupid.

     I wish your volunteer organizations luck. As for doing something stupid, that is part of Westboro’s mission statement.

       Thanks. I’m just hoping that, after seeing all the counter protesters that are coming out, either they don’t come or are so few that their negativity and hatred is overwhelmed by positivity and acceptance. And yes, they do like to instigate and provoke so they can file lawsuits claiming they’re the victims and their civil rights were trampled on. I’m crossing fingers for a good outcome and peaceful interactions.

         On the plus side, they’re falling apart as a group from some accounts and apparently tend to be outnumbered, 2 to 1 by counter protesters.

         They’ll still come. When I taught in Kansas, I was about 50 miles away from them. But your organizations will do the right thing.

     When the WBC folks came to protest at my former university, the LBGT group on campus used it as a fundraising event. Every time a Westboro person did/said something, the kids passed the hat or some such thing. They raised a lot of money and were very mature in voicing their disapproval.

   I’m really glad that that young man rolled with the whole “I NOW HAVE A CAT” thing. He recognized that he was chosen.

     The grownup pet pix were so adorable. I never get tired of looking at pets who are so beloved.

   So much to love here. The critter comparisons are so cute. I have to admit to a bit of anxiety showing how cute Quokkas are and inviting the immediate world to visit them – they’ll end up being house pets and worse. Cute as it all is I’d prefer they be left alone.
