Cutetropolis has a new comment editing system, replacing the old one which had stopped working. It works a bit differently, but it does allow you to edit and delete posts within five minutes, just like before. Feel free to test and ask questions below.

Note: This new system will allow you to delete a comment, but the deleted comment will not disappear from the page as before. Rest assured that the comment is indeed deleted, and you can verify this by reloading the page.
You mean we get to be test commenters? 🙂
(For the record, I tried clearing my cache and cookies and it still forgets me.)
Edit: Hey, it works!
Testing, testing, testing.
Editing to add: Thanks, Mike!
Editing and deleting work great. System is still not *reliably* retaining my moniker and email address. I’ll keep an eye on this. It could be an issue with my browser.
I think Cutetropolis is worth re-entering a couple of lines of info, if need be.
Edited to add: Pretty sure it’s a browser issue on my end.
I’ve been doing a lot of tinkering throughout the day, which might have interfered with the site saving user data, but I can’t be sure of that. My apologies.
I’ve noticed this new editor is clumsier when used on phones. It does work, but it’s awkward compared to the older system. It may work better on tablets.
I’m also experimenting with a new comment entry form that lets people log in with their Twitter, Facebook, Google, and WordPress.com logins.
I appreciate, i’m sure we all appreciate, all your work in trying to get the site to work smoothly.
Whoops! Different avatar!
It looks like your cat avatar returned for this comment.
Yes we do all appreciate! I’ll try using my Google handle next time, but for right now, the native form works perfectly.
Testing …..
It really seems to be working, I left the page and closed the browser after my first comment and my info are still there.
Test
Edit: editing works, and info retained. Chrome on an android tablet.
testing
I’m so confused!
I can’t get my old avatar back but that’s okay. It’s a small price to pay.
Yes!!
And you’re back!
Testing new sign-in.
Houston, we have lift-off! It works, Mike—the site remembered my deets even after I cleared my history. Yah-hooooooo!
Testing . . . filling in my data yet again.
