“Hah! You mistook me for a plant, didn’t you? In a way, you’re right.”
“For I am a super secret spy cat, planted here to watch your every move.”
“And I’ll keep watching you forever. You cannot run. You cannot hide. But I have gotten rather comfortable in here, so if you could kind of remain in the general vicinity and not drive off or anything, that would be great.”
Sender-inner Sally G. writes: “On a walk recently, my daughter and I saw what we thought was a cute cat in a picturesque planter. Upon closer examination, however, we discovered a slightly different scene.”
I missed something; what did they discover?
I will look again.
I’m with you Phred’s Mom. Is it because they thought they found a cute cat and it ended up being demonic?
Maybe they thought it was a garden ornament and not the Feline from Hell. 🙂
I’ve looked and looked, I don’t see what they discovered other than the cute kitty.
Demonic or not, I’d still pet him.
(Hey, the name fill-in thingy looks different!)
Re: the comment form, I turned this on because it lets people log in with social media profiles as well as the usual way. Downside: the photo-attachment system won’t work with it. If you folks don’t think that’s a good trade-off, let me know and I can restore the older comment form.
Demonic cat is still cute.
Alas, it turns out I *still* have to enter my deets to comment. I thought it was working, and reported same, but now it’s not …
I apologize for the frustration. I don’t have very much control over how this system works.
You’ve nothing to apologize for, Mike. We all know you’re doing your best—and as long as Cutetropolis is up and running, personally I’m a happy camper. Please think of my comment as reportage, not a complaint!
Me, too. As it just reminded me as I posted. I have even clicked the “save my name” doohickey.
Really just testing the new commenting. It showed a different avatar for me and I was bidding a fond farewell to my old Maru avatar, but when I entered my email Maru, crab shell hat and all, reappeared. We shall see!
I’m wondering if the closer inspection revealed that kitty was using the planter as a litterbox.
With the photo-attachment not working does that meant we can’t a post jpeg like we used to? Because ALLEIN always had the perfect jpegs to add to commentaries.
Here let me test that …
Edited : Oh good it works!!
(Amusingly, I actually write my name in all lower-case but the site shows names in all caps – allein 🐾 )
How do you post a jpg? As a link? Or have you found a way to upload/attach?
Just post the image link (right-click on the image and there should be an option to copy the image address or some such wording, or else open the image in a new tab and copy the url from there). If it ends in .jpg, .png, or .gif it should automatically embed (same with youtube videos).
Thank you, I was about to share those instructions but you beat me to it.
One additional tip: Make sure the image/YouTube link is on a line by itself, not part of text.
Thank you both!
Are you speaking in tongues? I have not a clue what you’re talking about! No, don’t reply, it probably wouldn’t help anyway – I am merely expressing frustration at not understand computer speak.
lol…they’re file types. jpg and png are images and gif is (usually) an animated image.
I want this kitten!
I need someone to come up with an explanation. What in actual fact was their mistaken impression??
Perhaps the cat is pooping, marking the spot? High end outdoor litter box– just a guess.
I asked sender-inner Sally and she said, “Yeah, it was cute at first, then very serious and grouchy. I don’t think it was pooping. Just glaring.”
