There’s A Bee Species That Sleep In Flowers And It’s As Cute As It Sounds

The bees sleeping in flowers is almost unbearably touching and beautiful.
It’s really lovely. THe photos are great.
The whapping!!! And then the paw-licking while the poor guy gets up—”My work here is done.”
It’s the casual approach to the paw-licking that makes it art.
Is it just me or are those cat hair hats sorta creepy? 😕
Love the story about the cat who comforted the guy recovering from surgery. Also love the story about the horse who wanders around her neighborhood and everybody pitches in to spoil her and clean up her messes. Nothing like an animal to bring people together. ❤
Sure it’s cute if male Japanese photographer does it. When a single woman does it, she’s a crazy cat lady!
Preach! Down with the double standard!
With that being said, yeah, they are kinda creepy.
These links are a great way to start a Monday. I need a horse to wander my neighborhood. Puppy story gives new meaning to the phrase “sleeping with the enemy”, lol. And the video – perfect timing!
I love it when things pop up here that I’ve seen and thought about sending in but figured someone probably beat me to it.
I saw that “My parents do not have a cat” pic several times on Facebook this weekend. I love it. Also saw the story of Jenny the horse. I would love to encounter a horse having a stroll on my travels. With all the horses in New Jersey you’d think there’d be at least one…
I want to know what kind of puppy (pitty? cuppy?) Charlie is. How much bigger will he be than his new siblings when they grow up?
My nickname is Bee and it’s always been my dream since childhood to live in a giant flower. (I really loved the Bugaloos as a kid.) I think these bees are my spirit animals.
I loved the story about the bees sleeping in the flowers. I love bees and photographing them, and I’ve often worried that bees that I find out and about which are very still are dead or dying. So much cooler to think they might be napping….

Since that worked, one more of bees hanging out in a cactus blossom. At first I thought these bees were dead, since they weren’t moving. But after a minute or two one twitched, and then ‘woke’ and flew off.
Great photos, Diane! Thanks for sharing them.

I really want a horse to walk in my neighborhood (see what I did there!) every day. It would be so wonderful.
