And they say sugar is bad…

    Gotta love an organized kitty…

I’ll file that cat under “cute”

I like the subtle stripes on his tail. Can’t go wrong with a monochromatic palette!

GREAT links today! In the necessarily tiny brain of a hummingbird there is room for memories of love.

I just love the idiots who ask how the guy can be sure it’s the same hummingbird that he rescued.

      “Organized Cat”!!! πŸ’•

OMG the goose family hurts my heart.

I am painfully refraining from any comments about how nice it is to see a DC agency not separate families…

Ohhh… poor kitty is filing itself under “avoiding the vet”.

A very smart kitty! And Sierra the kitten did turn my insides to goo. I think an ovary exploded.

I love Link Monday, they’re always cute, sometimes educational and the comments are pretty interesting too. That poor kitty going to the vet, subscribes to the notion if I can’t see them, they can’t see me.

That was my cat Daisy’s reaction. Whenever we went to the vet she stayed completely still, closed her eyes and hid her face (apart from the time when she jumped off the examination table and hid behind some boxes stacked under a table).

      • allein 🐾 May 6, 2019 / 1:50 pm

Stripes used to hop off the exam table and onto the counter to check out all the jars and stuff up there. When we took him for the last time my dad (who, let’s not forget, “hates cats”) picked him up and put him on the counter so he could have one last exploration. (He was looking over there but clearly didn’t have the energy to jump down.)

At least your dad acted better than mine.

Apparently he civilly cussed out the vet loudly and then slammed the doors on the way out leaving my mother to apologize.

Thankfully for us, the vet was used to people hitting the ANGER stage quickly during the grieving process.

πŸ™ My dad’s always the one who’s not sure he can stay in the room (he was the same way with Pablo; at least with Stripes we were expecting it before we got there). He did stay but only for a few minutes after. My mom and I stayed longer while he went out and paid the bill.

Isn’t that hard? After they put down your furbaby you have to go out and pay for the privilege.

I’m not up on all of my chances to sympathize, empathize, with various health issues and lost critter reports, still feeling under the weather but improving each day. So, to all of you going through a lot (Tara, Duckie, Allein, etc. and I know there are more – I wish you the best outcomes possible.

I’m learning how to use Foxfire but only for Cutetropolis because it prevents me from saving images from my Facebook communications. I belong to an Illustration Group from which I save to Photos many of the posts, so I shift from Safari to Foxfire when I come here. Still have to save my info each time but it partially fills it in for you, so that’s an improvement.

Yeah…though it was apparently less than my mom expected because she was surprised when he told her the amount. They do light a candle at the desk with a sign saying if the candle is lit please be quiet because someone is saying goodbye. I thought that was sweet. The receptionist even gave me a hug when we left, and it was the first time I’d ever met her.

Two of the links (Hummingbird and Cinderella) gives me (from Sweden) this message:

“Sorry, this content is not available in your region.”

You can get pass this with either a VPN service or by using the web browser Opera that has a inbuilt VPN function .

Hurts my heart to see the kitty that unhappy at the vet.

      Me too! πŸ™

If that’s the most traumatic thing in his life, I’m ok with it. At least kitty has a family who cares enough to bother.

Also what i tell myself when have to trick/trap my cat every time we go to the “awful place.” Kitty looks nervous but not overly “let me frantically run around like the room’s on fire and soil myself” anxious. Had one cat who actually went ON the vet tech, they were so miffed.

That scared gray kitty looks so soft and beautiful. I would be happy to comfort him.
