Today Maru presents an “unboxing” video, in which we carefully take a new product out of the box so that Maru can jump into the box. Today’s product is the Starvatron 3000 Food Denier, which keeps cat food safe from cats who might otherwise eat it. This model replaces the Starvatron 2000, which accidentally let the cats eat now and then. It also has a camera and Internet access because all things must have this now. An error occurs during the test, causing the Food Denier to dispense food into a nearby bowl. We can only hope this flaw will be corrected in the Starvatron 4000. Our rating: one out of five stars.

I have a feeling my Stars would never go near this thing. She’d be terrified by the noise. Luckily she always has dry food available and doesn’t overeat.
I had a feeling about the problem with the old model, and I was right! Poor Maru, though, with big feets.
I guess there are advantages to being the small one…I was always the one sent to crawl under the bushes for lost soccer balls and stuff.
Very impressed with Hana’s resourcefulness – I was sure it was Maru who would hotwire the feeder. And Hana is more vocal lately, I think.
