Like my eyes? They’re quite a prize. Like multicolored butterflies. One side’s blue like cloudy skies, the other gold like apple pies. They inspire sighs and cries of surprise from girls and guys of every size. No one denies they mesmerize.

They are amazing and mesmerizing. But how the heck do they happen??? I’ve heard of cats having one blue and one gold eye but never mixed like this. So beautiful!
It’s called “sectoral heterochromia” (two completely different colored eyes, like one blue and one gold, is “complete heterochromia”). According to this page, it does not affect their vision.
“Sectoral heterochromia happens when thereโs varying concentrations of melanin spread throughout one iris. Since melanin determines the color, this can result in a single eye of several colors.”
Did we post at the same time?!? I think we must have! ๐
Pretty close!
Excuse me forgetin’, but these things I do,
You see, I’ve forgotten if they’re yellow or blue…
WOW! Those eyes are gorgeous! Mother Nature will never ceases to amaze me with the infinite diversity and beauty of her creations.
The eyes have it.
I am flummoxed by these eyes. They are truly marvelous.
Might be the most beautiful eyes I’ve ever seen.
they’re beautiful but I hope that they’re healthy. Never seen that milky white blue before.
Although sectoral heterochromia can be caused by disease or injury, it’s often genetic in origin. Here’s a not-designed-to-blind-you-with-science explanation: https://iheartcats.com/cats-with-multi-colored-eyes-are-stunning-but-what-causes-it/ My guess is this gorgeous kitty is just fine, and that the milky look *may* (I’m no expert) be accounted for by the angle of light. Like you, I hope that’s the case.
Simply gorgeous, kitkat!
I was going to attempt to continue in the same poetic style as Mike. But I got nuthin’…๐ค๐ธ. I kneel before your ability to extemporize Mike. (Hee hee maybe I have just that one.)
Wise. ๐
