Shelters get cleared, dog travels Europe, cardboard cats cut up, and meet the Olinguito.
And finally: Meanwhile, in Australia…

So it looks like cats may well be descended from dinosaurs. Pete the dog in swim trunks! Kangaroos bounding through the snow is a truly beautiful sight.
Love the big guy with the tiny kitten in the Clear the Shelters link. (Burlington County shelter is only about 45 minutes away…I didn’t even know about this event…which is probably just as well because I can’t really get a pet right now.)
Kitty-Rex! I want one!
Aw, little Nimbus’s “intimidating” look is about as frighting as the cloud she’s named after.
Nimbus? Where is Nimbus? I seem to have missed something …
Oops…y’know how on The Dodo if you keep scrolling down it’ll load more articles..?
Well…here y’go…

That is an amazing kitten. So many of them have that gene for world domination.
Nimbus and Zep together–sniff sniff.
My heart breaks for that kissy dog who’d been waiting at the shelter since April of 2018. But so, so happy that he finally found the home he’s always deserved. ❤
Great links today and so happy about all the animals finding their forever homes. And I think my former foster Kemuri has got a new home too! I checked yesterday and he wasn’t on the listings for adoptable cats. If that’s true, Yippee!!!!!!
The stray dog helping the police with their pat downs cracked me up. It looks like it’s supposed to be a serious thing but he’s just wagging his tail the whole time.
Oh, these are all so cute. Yes, the big beefy guy with the tiny kitten was especially cute. The photos from the top of the pens with doggies reaching up broke my heart – I hope they found homes, too! And Pete in his Gondolier outfit! Well, that’s adorable. I got a kick out of the drawings with pussycat heads peeping through. I made a whole bunch of those sorts of boards for a party once, many years ago and everybody had their picture taken. Just to give you an idea of HOW long ago – I used a Polaroid camera.
Chato the dog just cracked me up. So happy for all the critters who got adopted. The cat boards are truly hilarious—since my coworker and I do dinosaur noises every day, we loved those best.
One of the shelters here in Houston was advertising Clear the Shelters. Apparently it was nationwide so, Good For Them!
The olinguito article was interesting but in case anyone besides me got confused, it is 5 years old. I guess there’s no rule that Links will be recent, but they so usually are that it threw me off for a minute. However, it definitely DID meet the only rule for the site — it was cute!
Thanks, the date slipped right past me! I’d never seen this creature before, so I was dazzled by the cuteness!
