Welcome to another weekend, Cutetropolitans! Today’s visitors come to us via sender-inner Cheryl C., who writes: “Thought youโd like a photo of my kitties: Rosie and her very annoying brother, Timmy.” We will assume that’s Rosie on the bottom.

Ummm, a little help here?? Reminds me of the scene from Lion King where poor Zaza gets squashed by a rhino. “Excuse me madam, but … GET OFF!!! Both are very adorable Cheryl and hopefully Timmy isn’t too annoying to poor put upon Rosie.
Still trying to adjust and get back to a routine after vacation. Slowly but surely getting there. I’m going persuade hubby to work on editing photos this weekend so hopefully I’ll have a link for you guys shortly. We’re also thinking of ditching the land based living and do live aboard on a boat. So we’re looking at a boat today plus getting new tires for one of the vehicles plus all the other regular errands. And maybe sometime go see a movie.
Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend.
Ummm, a little help here??
Ha! That was exactly my first thought, too!
Rosie, I know exactly how you feel! Cheryl, your furbabies are beautiful.
I’m off to run errands and maybe, when I get home, I’ll have the energy to install trim around the glass block window in the bathroom. Maybe.
If anybody here is a fan of Ursula K. Le Guin, you *have* see the lovely documentary about her on PBS. I watched it last night and was transported all over again by my favorite author, for whom my darling Ursula kitty was named. Hugs to you all. I hope Duckie checks in to let us know she’s okay.
oooooooh DebG! Thanks for this! I loved Wizard of Earthsea. It was the first book I remember finishing and then having to convince myself it wasn’t real.
Loved her!
Good Morning Everyone! The heat has finally broken in Philadelphia. Windows are open and the AC is off. So quiet and peaceful. (big sigh of contentment). I’m spending the day lesson planning. Finger’s crossed that I’m inspired. Lots’ of other things need to also get done. We’ll see how far I get.
Rosie and Timmy are so cute! Timmy clearly doesn’t understand “personal space.”
I hope everyone is well. Sending you all good thoughts for a pleasant day!
Hi all. Pet parent here. :). Timmy is an awful pest. However to be fair, Rosie was once the pest, back when we had our beautiful Gilbert (also featured here and elsewhere). She does love him, sometimes.
I think this picture is sideways.
Rosie and Timmy are adorable, and look exactly how I pictured cats with those names would look like in my mind ๐
โI hereby orderโ – lol. I see what you did there NTMTOM. Itโs been quite a week hasnโt it?!
Yes, I liked that a lot, too. And Rosie and Timmy are indeed adorable.
I’m coming to this banquet so late – hadn’t realized that I never managed to get online yesterday. I’m recording some songs with a friend so we were working on that. It’s a very low key, low tech project, more to get the songs recorded than anything else.
I can’t remember what if anything I told you about my week – I was looking after my neighbors’ cats, my bun had an eye infection that needed drops that required some intricate timing, and I was bun sitting for a friend. Well, the bun got sick with stasis (no eatage or poopage) and I stayed up all night with him, giving him food and water (he hadn’t peed for 12 hours!) and when I called the woman (on vacation with her family) she wouldn’t give me permission to take him to the vet. She couldn’t wrap her mind around her bun being sick enough to need to go. I’ve been through stasis before so I know what to do and a vet is one of those things. So I continued feeding and hydrating all day, got SOME sleep but up at 5 to continue and finally she said I could take him. Great guy, the vet I went to and the rabbit got fluids – that’s what he needed most, and some pain meds because stasis is basically a bad bellyache. By the time she got him back today he was in fine fettle. Whew! But I’m POOPED. (no pun intended) So I have much to catch up on – haven’t seen the weekly Maru report. Lovely weather we’re having in SE PA and tomorrow I venture into the garden.
Hi everyone! I’ve been off the last three days doing nothing productive and thoroughly screwing up my sleep in the process. OK, I did finish a book last night, which I was taking notes for, so it took longer. It was also due back at the library a week ago but I had already used up all my renewals. Oh well, they’ll make a little money off me. Need to do some grocery shopping because I have no fresh produce in my house except half of a sliced English cucumber and a couple red peppers that I hope are still good. Also, I just need to get out of the house.
Here’s some existential angst or something for you. Originally saw it posted with a picture of a cat but I could only find the words when I googled so I picked out an appropriate cat to go with it.
Good morning or afternoon! Iโve been pinned down by Millie this morning just like Rosie.
Here are my current passions: a multimedia in progress. A finished fairytale. And Millie posing for inclusion in my artwork.
Iโm very happy with all three. The multimedia is 29โx30โ and a new way to work. Iโll post again when complete. It is a depiction of my Allies, Adversaries and Aspects. A result of good psychotherapy!
And thank you Mike for technical assistance!
Wow Faye – these are amazing! For some reason I see them as stained glass windows. Especially the bottom one.
Lovely image of contented Millie.
Thank you. Yes allegorical stained glass windows.
Wonderful work Faye!

Wow, Faye, you lead a very rich inner life – so wonderful you can make it visual as you do. Magical!
๐ฅ
Yay, it’s a Duckie!
Hiya Duckie! ๐
Oooo. Duckie ๐ฅ
Glad you checked in.
Welcome!
Hey Duckie! ๐
