Happy Caturday, Cutetropolitans! And it is indeed a happy day at the home of reader Squiddy, whose new kittens are enjoying their new environment — and each other.
“They are in love,” writes Squiddy. “All I ever wanted was exactly this.”

The expression on the white-faced kitten’s face in the second picture is the definition of bliss.
They are beyond adorable, the cuteness level is off the charts. I don’t know how you get anything done with these 2 around. My days would be spent oohing and ahhing over them.
Spending summer’s last long weekend in Seattle area. Taking the ferry over to Whidby Island today and do some exploring. Sometime this weekend will wander around Pikes Market. Hope everyone has a good weekend and for any readers in FL area, stay safe. Fingers crossed the hurricane veers north away from land.
I’m with you, stay safe Floridians, and use that ol’ psychokinesis to shove Dorian northeast.
Who needs psychokinesis when we’ve got NUKES?! 🤣
Yeah, that’s the ticket!
Those damned hurricanes, playing havoc with our precious bodily fluids!
and while we mentally shove Dorian northeast, also make it break
down before it gets to Britain!
Maybe Herr Drumpf’s failure to use nukes to protect Floridians from the hurricane will cause them not to vote for him? Hmm, maybe too Through the Looking glass.
Have a wonderful time, AJ! I think Churchmouse Knits is on Whidby Island–wave at it for me if you find it.
It looks like it’s on Bainbridge, across from Seattle. Whidbey is a little more North. May do Seattle/Bainbridge tomorrow or Monday. And I’ll be sure to wave when I see it.
Congratulations, Squiddy! They are so precious!
Oh man, I can hardly handle this much cute!! 😍😍😍 They must be an absolute joy to have around. You are one lucky duck, Squiddy.
Squiddy, I demand to see more of these little lumps of cuteness!
I’ve been without internet access for six days and the withdrawal symptoms were AWFUL. It’s rather disturbing to think that I can barely function without something that, twenty years ago, I barely knew existed.
Followers of the Saga of Alice Shortcake’s Dad will be glad to hear that he no longer needs the dreaded catheter, but unfortunately he managed to fall out of bed last night and hurt his right side. I’ll have to get a guard rail, or possibly a giant rubber band…
Alice, so sorry on both counts. Sending good wishes to your dad and your internet.
Sorry about your dad. Some dreams can be so realistic. And I know how much a hold the internet has on us. I try not to spend too much time on it but on days when I spend a little too long on the internet, I say well I guess I fell down the rabbit hole. So much information – some useful, and others, weelll it’s just useless clicking and clicking and more clicking.
I like the image of the giant rubber band, Alice. I bought a combination
guard rail and grab rail for my mother which proved very good. She
need it to pull herself up to get out of bed. Also, MyMike and I are with
you on the internet addiction – that’s what it is. For me, it’s like having
the Library of Congress at my fingertips, plus the whole rest of the
world. Irresistable.
He’s just told me what was behind the fall out of bed: he was dreaming that he was suspended by a rope from one of the clock faces on Big Ben in Westminster. Someone inside the tower threw him a longer rope by which to descend to ground level, but it broke about four feet from the pavement. When he woke up he was on the floor, wedged between the bed and the nightstand!
great dream!
That’s like my “tripping over a log” dream. Hubby says I not only jump but flail as well. Sure feels real in the dream!!
Love luv luv the kitties. Such sweet togetherness.
(Hi Duckie if you are out there…💕)
Happy Caturday! Have I got a Caturday post for you!
Anyone want a kitten or seven? They were born in a coworker’s neighbor’s yard. She’s keeping mom but she needs to find homes for the babies (who are about 8 weeks old now). She’s named them all after fictional detectives (and one mystery author). Hopefully you all can see the pictures here:
Mystery Seven
Other than that not much going on this weekend. Got out of work early yesterday and went to my parents’ to pick up some stuff and ended up staying for dinner. My cousin stopped by to drop off her dog because they’re going away for the week, and my uncle came for dinner and we ordered pizza. No plans for Labor Day except to not be working.
Those kittens are incredible! PS I sent a friend request, though I’m never on Facebook.
Accepted!
Wish I was closer, they’re just too adorable. I love kittens at that age.
I’m tempted, because little Agatha looks so sweet, but I really don’t relish the idea of a litter box (which I don’t really have a good place to put) and everything that comes with a cat in my little condo. Or little claws ripping up my stuff….
Awwwwww. I call that Pansy Face Stage. Their little faces look like Pansy flowers. What fun.
Mundane day: laundry, cooking, porch sitting later with Millie. I’m frustrated. I have two art ideas in my head but nothing good is on paper yet. But I’m free and clear Sunday and Monday so we shall see.
Have a good weekend everyone and stay safe.
Squiddy, we’re all so happy for you at DebG’s cat house! Your babies are so happy and they’re gorgeous together.
I had a very intense week at work, so this long weekend came at the perfect time. Big plans involve napping, maybe sewing, knitting, spinning, napping, definitely cooking and baking, more napping. Must stock up on sleep before the big company party in 3 weeks, right after my birthday weekend!
Stay safe, everybody, and don’t fire guns into hurricanes either. Seriously, it’s a thing.
I dunno, Deb, that sounds like a lot. You should probably try to fit a nap in there somewhere.
Gorgeous kitties! I second the request for more pictures!
Lily is all, ‘please, tell me more, this is fascinating…’
That’s a beautiful picture of a beautiful cat.
Ha ha yes Jan! Exactly! 😁 Such a “tres drole” expression, the one that cats have mastered so well!
She looks pretty blasé, isn’t she? Silly girl! 😻😻
So pretty!
That’s an amazing smile.
