History of Classic Toys

Lacking the plastic body that we know today, the original Mr. Potato Head became a toy sensation by combining two activities kids loved: playing with dolls and wasting food. Rival toymakers soon cashed in with knockoffs such as Mr. Bread Head, which could convert any peanut butter and jelly sandwich into a Halloween mask.

Morning Peeps! I went to a new cafe this morning to pick up my coffee and boy is it tasty. Wow, good coffee can make a day, I tell ya. Have a good one all and I think puppers eyes have the exact same expression underneath that slice.

Somehow I missed this one as a kid, though I did have an original Mr. Potato Head.

Mike, you never disappoint. This is hilarious.

That toothy grin is ridiculously cute! 💕 My brother and I had a Mr. Potato Head as a kid… didn’t we use real potatoes or am I hallucinating again? 😁

Hey, my 2 and 3 year olds at work still love Mr. Potato Head! Of course, now one of his hands is now holding a cell phone! (This post is hilarious!)

Of course it is… (no hand holding a coffee cup with his name spelled “Potatoe”?)
