Hole-istic Maru

They’ve squeezed through narrow passageways. They’ve shown how low they can go. And now Maru and Hana face their most challenging experiment yet: The Play-Doh Fun Factory Cat Extruder, forcing their bodies through an ever-narrowing series of holes.

They should try a star shape next, Andrew Y.

Is it my imagination or has Hana developed a bit of a Maru-like belly?

      Hmmm, maybe just low-hanging floof?

For months now she’s looked to me like female cats I’ve seen who were nursing, but I assume she’s been fixed and, even if not, that if she had kittens, we’d have been told. So maybe this is simply her not being a kitten herself anymore? The cat equivalent of a womanly figure instead of girlish? But yes, definitely low-hanging something.

    Reverse labor dilation! Ouchies.

Hilarious. My new favorite Maru vid. I love how the cats did not give up. They changed the parameters of the experiment instead.

They can do this because they don’t have collar bones?

Hanna didn’t get a chance at 10cm, did she? Only Maru tried 10, then they went to 8? (Which, given neither passed 10, was merely a chance to watch them move the barrier.) I thought Hanna might have a chance at 10. Have we figured out how she motivates them? Maru doesn’t NEED motivation for boxes or bags, so he might go through a hole or slot just for the experience, but Hanna does. Is there food in that other room and then she gets them back with more food or a toy? Or am I trying to destroy the movie magic by asking?
