Portrait of the Artist as a Splotch

The Culver G. Ingenbingen Gallery of Modern Art is pleased to announce its latest exhibition, Splat! a collection of self-portraits by Pomeranian artist Floofio, whose unusual technique involves immersing himself in a vat of paint and then running headlong into the canvas.

I hope that head tilt isn’t a permanent side effect of his methods…

Oh my, I just might have to find the nearest puppy store, the urge to kiss a nose just like this one is very strong!!

I’m pretty sure that’s how Jackson Pollock started and goodness knows, he wasn’t half as cute. Or floofy. 😋

By the way, although I’m making fun, I just want to say that this portrait is very well done, exhibiting both delicate technique and a thoughtful expressive concept. The Imgur page for this piece doesn’t identify the artist, unfortunately.

Very true, Mike. I love the way the ears are just barely hinted at, such a subtle effect, and all the details are like that. Very expressive!
